Hi people, Iā€™m new here, has anyone here ever played with pressure points, meridians, alarm points and transport points? Just curious. Would be interested to know other peopleā€™s opinion or experience on the topic.

@Gregor Engler I once had a guy who was a black belt in karate and a massage therapist. He knew all the right spots for dry needling. You might have a background understanding based on your bio? Keen to hear your perspective šŸ™šŸ»
Meditation

Hi @Darrel L Perham - not sure what the issue is with your access but if you're able to post this message then you should have access to whatever content is applicable to your level and/or what Sifu has provided for free.
ā€œStriking Thoughtsā€
Some might say Bruce Lee was the father of mixed martial arts, and that he was one of the most fluid, loose, and fast martial artist in known history. Others say that Lee was a person who simply did, ā€œreal kung fu.ā€ Bruce inspired me to start doing martial arts when I was 9 years old, and I believe that he is an absolute legend! Bruce was an extremely respectable martial artist with admirable discipline and dedication. Yet, Bruce Lee was still a mortal man. Just like us he was flawed, fallible, and tried his best to get along in this world the best he could. Before passing away at 32 years old, he wrote four amazing books that brought inspiration to millions around the world. One of his lesser known works is ā€œStriking Thoughts. Wisdom for Daily Living.ā€ In an effort to create thought provoking observational points of view through our One Tao Community, I am going to start posting excerpts from ā€œStriking Thoughts,ā€ in an attempt ā€œstrikeā€ up dialogue about Bruceā€™sā€œthoughts.ā€ Be they profound, or superficialā€¦pertinent, or irrelevantā€¦fair, or biasedā€¦Bruce was a man of vision who started a movement in loving awareness surrounding martial art discipline that continues to this day. Please join me in this journey to acknowledge, analyze, and explore Bruce Leeā€™s ā€œStriking Thoughtsā€ in a fun, open, and honest forum. HERE WE GO!!

Belts Verses Skill Level
Dear Community Members, Just would like to express the fact that belt/sash colour does not reflect true skill level unless you keep up with your training! I can assure you all that skills (of any type) diminish over time, if you donā€™t keep up with your training to keep those skills for survival purposes! As a purple belt, I have been through plateaus and even dips in skills and I must be honest that it takes hard work and dedication to keep your skills. In class, I have found class members (especially the ones from a younger generation), to be intimidated by not me but by my belt colour. Ladies and gentleman, if you are a white belt who practices your skills daily (or often) and are motivated to reach new heights, you will surely be better than the purple belt who doesnā€™t train when they are not in a classroom setting. Another thing I would like to iterate is the fact that there are merits in training with practitioners who are better skilled than you , as well as those who are not as skilled as you. Training with lower skilled practitioners help you test your state/martial skill and training with higher skilled practitioners help you develop your state/martial skill. Every time that I get to train with @Sifu John Cogan , I jump at the opportunity because I can train and develop my state and martial skill. I have the same feeling when it comes to training with white and blue belts as doing so can allow me to experiment using my state against them. Please remember the following: TRAINING WITH BETTER SKILLED OR LOWER SKILLED PRACTITIONERS HELP YOUR OWN SKILLS AS WELL AS ā€˜THEIRSā€™. BOTH TYPES OF LEVELS PLAY HUGE ROLES IN YOUR SKILL DEVELOPMENT. Training everyday is a must and I know some members here may feel that they have no time or whatever excuse they may have. Training in martial arts is like having learnt a new foreign language, it takes time to develop to proficiency. Even at a level of proficiency, you need to keep refining your skills by using it daily.
