The Only Time I'm Going to Do This
So much of my motivation for building this Skool community comes from the liars and cheats. The ones telling people that they can get rich overnight, that side hustles are easy, that you can learn anything in seven days. Success is not an overnight affair, and everything worthwhile takes time. Patience and perseverance are the keys to achieving your goals. One thing almost all of these people do, and I've bought courses to see this firsthand, is using "evidence" as filler. They'll do a twenty-minute video on some topic you need to know, and seventeen minutes of the video are the stories of all the people they've worked with and subsequently made wealthy. "Like Tim, who was stuck in a dead end job, and in week two of working with me was making $9,000 a day." Get wrecked. This is what people who don't know and haven't had success themselves do. I hate it. So, I will not, under any circumstance, spend any time "selling" my wins to establish pseudo-authority. My sole focus here is to provide you with the knowledge and tools to succeed without any distractions. So, one time and one time only, I will list out my successes and some of the reasons I feel qualified to tell people how to build better businesses. Deal? So here they are: Hi, my name is Kerry Morrison 👋. Nice to meet you. My "stats": ✅ My best freelance year, I made $345,000 ( important to me, I took three months off to stay sane ) ✅ My best sales year was $25M ✅ I've helped raise $137M for a range of startups ✅ Largest company I've run, 184 people ✅ Next year will be my 26th in marketing and startups ✅ I've exited two companies That will be the only time I use this information inside this community, and I hope it has helped. 😀

Your Free Books
I'm committed to making everyone who joins this community better. Better at marketing, better at sales, better at business. So, just for joining, I'm going to buy you two of my favorite books from a selection that have helped me the most in my career ( and in my life ). They're digital copies in .epub format, so you can read them in the Kindle app ( on your phone, tablet, computer or Kindle ) or Apple Books. I buy digital copies because they're easier to distribute ( I don't need your home address ). Sorry for those, who like me, love paper books, this is the future. So head over to this link to choose the books you'd like, and I'll get them to you ASAP.

Apple Watch ad - version 1 exercise
Alrighty, here we go with assignment one. I've done this before, on Kerry's last platform, and I am already much happier with this ad iteration - but it's not perfect. I didn't have LOADS of time to spend on this, but I jumped onto the Apple site and read some reviews of watches from local stores selling them. I made a note of the benefits that people were raving about: - I never miss emails or messages when I don’t have my phone - Easy set up - Fast  - Large screen - Good style and functionality - Thin - Comfortable I was playing around with an ad that highlights the comfort of the watch as there were a lot of people who put that in their review (something to keep thinking about) but I settled on the benefit of not missing any messages, notifications, etc. I am trying to play on the lack of FOMO with an Apple Watch. In my mind, this ad is a quoted review. Hurdle #1 is finding a review with this EXACT wording because I don't want to ruin credibility. But surely someone somewhere has a similarly worded review...right? All feedback is welcome! Let me know what you think: 5*: "I forgot I left my phone at home." - Steve Too vague? Unclear? Highlighting benefits enough? Let me know 👇

Question from Hit Makers for Discussion...
So, I'm LOVING Derek Thompson's Hit Makers! I'm partial to Derek Thompson but that's besides the point. Such great stuff in the book, and another big thanks to @Kerry Morrison for making all this happen for us and being so generous. One question I'd love to hear from all of you on is related to something he writes in the book "To sell something familiar, make it surprising. To sell something surprising, make it familiar." Can we have some actual examples from YOUR work and just discuss/brainstorm ideas on how to do this. I absolutely love it and my brain will be happily marinating on this concept for awhile I think.
