Skool might just be the missing piece I needed in my biz.
I am a total noob, however am already pumped and excited about the possibilities on this platform.
I was stuck a little while in my biz and someone close to me randomly sent me a link to Skool. She and I are both followers and fans of Alex and the moment I checked it out it clicked in my mind.
This feels like the missing piece for me.
All I need is market the group. Simple.
I look forward to diving in and meeting amazing people along the way doing similar things; serving their community.
Hi Chanie, I am a total noob too. I just started in the online space and I am trying to figure it out. I am also looking forward to meeting great people. You've already taken the most important step by deciding to start. Now, keep that momentum going, and trust that with persistence and passion, your business will thrive.🙏
Was just saying I felt like I spent years building a great train but nobody knew what trains were and now Alex and Skool have the tracks to take me around to show what it can do :)
I think I can almost relate 🤔 I have been coaching for over a decade and was so happy that I was self employed. I started listening to Alex's podcast.... My entire mindset changed. I now want to be a business owner, still coach and do what I love, but have an even greater impact, while making money from it. I love that Skool games has so much value packed info and guidelines to get up and running.
That's right the communities help to grow business and that's how I started mine.
"In the early days of my coaching business back in 2018-2019, I struggled to get started.
I was ready to launch but needed a way to attract clients. That's when Facebook groups became a game-changer for me.
Every week, I went live on Facebook, but the key was letting the community decide the topics through polls.
This approach boosted my live session's show-up and retention rates because people were genuinely interested in the content they voted for.
By consistently delivering value and engaging with my community, people started reaching out, asking how I could help them build their business through coaching.
That’s how I began selling my coaching programs.
Communities are hands down the best way to build a business.
They bring you authentic, committed clients who are ready to take action. Remember, an engaged audience is the new gold!"
Now I do the same with my skool community with weekly calls and it has helped to keep over 90% retention rate and repeated sale of my other offer except skool community.
I felt the same way. I’ve tried some other platforms because they were ‘feature rich’ - but that is their downfall. Skool is simple and the interface is incredibly user friendly. Are there features missing or that would be useful? Sure. But if I client drops off because the delivery is too complicated… that would suck.
I feel the same thing. We have been doing business for a few years now me and my wife and now we will get our first community going very soon and I am exited for this
Well, I've been trying to get online courses and communities off the ground for YEARS. But could never find a platform that felt like the right place for everything I was doing. I tried managing multiple platforms, but I've inevitably lost interest and abandoned them. In the past, I've used Kajabi, New Zenler, Teachable, Udemy, Skillshare, Facebook Groups, Google Groups, Yahoo Groups, YouTube pages, Newsletters, Podcasts (I've had 3 of them over the past decade!).
What I love about Skool is that it brings everything under one roof so I don't have to manage a million different things. I can have my community, my courses, my podcast, and my resources all under one roof. It's better for my community members because they get everything in one place while being able to connect with and support each other. It's also better for me, because it cuts back the amount of work I have to do to maintain all the moving pieces of my business.
This has opened up new possibilities like:
Creating contests and games,
Collaborating with professionals in my industry,
Expanding my business into providing new services.
It is totally like a breath of fresh air. I joined created a community the old me would be like but I don't have everything in place there is so much to do!! But the new me said just DO IT stop worrying about the details and so I show up here now Perfectly IMPERFECT but it feels so so Freeing!! Can anyone else relate?
We are super early. Imagine what Skool is in 5 years. We have to put in the reps every day and let the exponential growth work for us, so our projects flourish. 🔥
from across the atlantic in the UK! I'm excited at the possibilities too, especially of building a community away from the likes of Facebook groups, etc.. the usually challenges i guess, of trying to move people across platforms, but I'm hoping this one has got legs!
Yay! Welcome from the UK. We can do this together. "want to go fast, go alone. Want to go far, go together. ~ unknown. What work are you looking to share?
Yes agree, seems like everyone wants to lift each other up in this community which is awesome. So I'm in the podcast space, started a community in here, Pod School, at the start of the summer. I'm a podcaster of 8 years myself, plus a podcast agency owner so used to helping people launch, grow and monetise their podcasts. This seems like an interesting place to a build a community of people looking for help not just launching their own shows, but in growing and monetising them. Fingers crossed I'm right :)
I've had an account for a while but dove into it more 2 month ago. But I'm a rookie! Learning everything I can to make my coaching here as good as it is outside of Skool!
I've been "about to" start for months and I finally just pulled the bandaid off yesterday! I have a showcase today with my networking group and I'm going to ask all the ladies to join the community and ask all the guys to send it to a woman in their life!
Goal is to have 100 members by the end of this month!
It looks that way to me too - the missing piece for sure. I’ve been neck deep researching the I.O.V for quite some time now, especially in terms of a new direction for education. Like you, I was happy to come across this platform, especially upon learning that Alex was involved - I’d just bought his books the day before! I’m definitely curious to see how this platform evolves - so far it looks promising! All the best, Chanie. Looks like you’re in the right place 👏
Welcome to Skool! It's awesome that everything clicked for you. Excited to see how you grow your group and connect with the community here. You've got this! 💪🚀
Thanks! I’m still pretty new here, just getting the hang of things. Super excited to learn and connect with others like you. Looking forward to joining a group of like-minded people and growing together!
