My thoughts so far
I have only just begun my Wing Chun journey, and I have had some thoughts that I would like to share with the community, (not sure if this is the right page). This may be lengthy so please bear with me. I said in my introduction that I have already had martial arts training. I started at 14 with wrestling, moved on with Karate at 17 - got to 6th kyu, moved on to Shaolin Kempo Kung Fu where I reached the rank of Lao Shi. At the same time I started Tae Kwon Do (IDF), where I earned my 1st Dan. After the two clubs collapsed, I moved onto Jeff Speakman's Kenpo 5.0 because It was a long time goal. Got to blue belt before life went south on me. Why am I giving you my martial arts resume? Because while I am watching Sifu John's Videos, in my mind I am melding what I have learned previously with the Wing Chun lessons. In my mind I am seeing what techniques from say Kenpo 5.0 will compliment the Wing Chun guard and stance. I am reminded of lessons from my Shaolin Kempo days. It's exciting to add to my knowledge of Martial Science so I can improve my Martial Art!

Too Much of One Thing is Not Good
So I've been hesitant in posting this seeing how it might be interpreted wrong. But here it goes. A few Sundays ago I decided to take an indulgence day. No exercise, no training, nothing. Just let go. A few friends and I decide to hit a patio bar to indulge in a Sunday Funday. I Uber. They carpool. They're running late, the bar is in the middle of nowhere. I step out to legally enjoy part of a joint while sipping my bourbon. I take my seat on the patio to sip my cocktail and appreciate how long it's been since I've indulged... have you ever accidentally entered The State??? Unintentionally?? Before I could realize I'm doing the breathing, the visualization, everything except standing doing SNT. All the joy, splendor filling my mind. Sensing the energy throughout my body intensely. Fully indulged until I hear my buddies arrive and say "Dude did you fall asleep at the bar???" My State of mind starts to matter little as I cultivate the state subconsciously 🤌

I am a science teacher, so is it weird when I read the title I immediately thought Magnesium (Mg)? 😁

Wolverine's Powers would be ideal. Super fast healing and who could say no to the claws?
November Training Journal
Today I begin my training journal. My plan is to split my training sessions into two parts. Part 1: Skill practice, learning the first form Part 2: Meditation and finding my centre and focus. 3/11 - Started by looking at and practicing the stance. 4/11 - Snuck a couple of the Mind lessons at work. The alignment lesson struck home as I remember experiencing alignment before. 12/11 - Been a few days since the last update. Still slowly moving through training, aiming to do either the techniques or the spiritual training daily.

Introducing... Me!
👋 Hi, I’m Dan! I live in Toowoomba Queensland and I plan on developing My Martial Arts Skills, meditative practices and improving mental health. I want to get these 3 things from the community: 1.  I want to get back into the Martial Arts. I stepped away a couple of years ago for mental health reasons and now I am ready to go back. 2.  I want to centre myself spiritually and mentally. 3. I want to get my Mind, Body and Spirit working together. For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1.  Woodwork 2.  Learn new things 3.  Hit the gym!
