@Tek Li You know my goal @Tek Li - it's to not fall into the water :) My second goal is to do 6 mph for a one-mile stretch. We've been averaging 5.3mph to 5.7mph. But my goal is 6 mph, and hopefully higher than that by this time next year.

Well...almost, I programmed the speed coach incorrectly, but did the following: Total Distance for Workout: 7,932M Time: 55 minutes, 2.4 M/S, 47.5 SPM 1. 10' Warmup: 1,335M, 2.22 M/S, 37 SPM 2. 10' at 70%: 1,546M, 2.57 M/S, 42 SPM 3. 10' at 80%: 1,470M, 2.45 M/S, 45.0 SPM 4. (Oops..another) 10' at 80%: 1,516M, 2.52 M/S, 46.5 SPM 5. 1' at 100%: 153M, 2.56 M/S, 52.0 SPM 6. 1': 158M, 2.64 M/S, 56.0 SPM 7. 1': 130M, 2.16 M/S, 51.5 SPM 8. 1': 152M, 2.53 M/S, 55.5 SPM 9. 1': 145M, 2.43 M/S, 51.5 SPM 10. 10' Cooldown: 1,322M, 2.20 M/S, 42.0 SPM Missed one of the 1 minute workouts. #7 - waves pushing against us (from motorized boat going past us) - that's my excuse and sticking to it. Starting with #5 (left) alternated between Left side and Right side for the 1' pieces.

Total Distance: 11,306M Total Time: 1:20 Meter/Second: 2.35 Strokes/Meter: 44.5 10:00 Warm Up: 1,315M, 2.19 M/S, 39.5 SPM 30:00 Workout: 4,395M, 2.44 M/S, 45.0 SPM 25:00 Workout: 3,684M, 2.45 M/S, 48.0 SPM 5:00 Workout: 755M, 2.51 M/S, 52.5 SPM 10:00 Cool Down: 1,154M, 1.92 M/S, 39.5 SPM So focused on technique for the warm up and 30:00 workout...and went harder and harder as the workout progressed. Last 5 minutes were tiring. Found out after the workout that I was not rotating into the water to get better grab, so hoping to do better next time on M/S metric.

@Tek Li thank you for the feedback. Will give that a try with next WOW on Sunday. Corporate race on Saturday so no paddling.

@Tek Li Thank you! At the end, focused on making sure that I continue to apply pressure on the blade and leg drive with exaggerated rotation (because as I got tired, did not feel like I was rotating as much as I should).
