@Rogan B If you were to cue anything in plyos. Me personally, I just tell people to keep their head to the horizon and tell them to keep a full foot contact to prevent too much forward momentum or breaking force. The good foot contacts comes through sessions and sessions of plyo practice. Sexy foot contacts has a direct correlation with how much your body can handle the ground reaction forces. So be willing to sit through some yucky landings, especially at the start. And when adding intent or speed also be prepared to sit through some yucky landings. Its a right of passage for progress.

@Rogan B I use a combo of both id say. The first options could be great if you feel like your athlete is not putting the intent, you know they have. And eyes up and whole foot I try to use if they are experienced at said variation and they are just being lazy.

Make sure your training your arms in multiple positions. Overhead, behind your back, directly in front of your body (bench press) and a low reach. Not only will you build strength, but you will build a mobile and resilent upper body to handle the demands of basketball. Or really even any sport

Relevance of PRI
Hi do you think PRI activities should be kep year round in the program ? Or do you only see some relevance in it when you are trying to improve someone's movement bandwith. Idk if my question makes sense, basically is the ultimate goal of PRI to not have to do it anymore ? Or do you find value in it regardless of injuries or movement limitations ?

Only time I use "PRI drills" is when someone cant feel the stacked position. Usually reducing the demand of gravity by laying someone on their back and breathing does well in finding good pelvis and rib position.
Jump sesh. This should show up better than previous post
