I have taken over 5000 setting calls, here's what I learned 💸
Volume allows you to learn a lot more than what the textbooks tell you
Read the room.. one energy might not work for another
There is a huge difference between B2B and B2C (B2B Rocks!, IMO)
Be on the same hierarchy level as the prospect (flip the script goes over this more)
Stay Humble
Its okay to hang up
Don’t set just to set, closers might not appreciate this
Cold Calling is a different beast and have to make sure opening tonality is on point
Silence is key
Less statements more questions
Try not to take surface level answers
Sometimes people say the most interesting things on the phone
Care about the lead more than the lead might care about themselves
Challenging leads especially B2B can greatly benefit you
Callouts.. important
B2B = short and sweet intro | B2C = more report building
The IF call frame ONLY for strong B2B offers
Its way easier to send them a booking link on call and making sure they end up booking on the call
Don’t judge a book by its cover.. it might be work $600 mil (yes this is true)
Perceived value is true.. don’t be nervous to talk to them, its just their job
Just because its no now doesn’t mean its no later
Go into the call expecting a NO at the end (Alex Hormuz goes more in depth)
Sales is just a conversation
Don’t be afraid to DQ them or kick them off the call
Protect your energy
5 qualified calls is better than 30 unqualified
Selling a $144k offer is easier than as selling a $1k offer (oddly its true)
Confidence is key
You didn’t lose your sales skills overnight you are probably lacking clarity on something
Sales reps treat each other like family and want to see each other win!
