I love the evenings with my kids. We have dinner together then either play a game, watch a show together, or read books together. It's a recharge of energy and purpose.
Pass out. Lol. Sit in my recliner and watch a few videos if I’m hurting a lot. So usually that until it’s bearable. After my wife goes to bed I usually play fortnite with my daughter.
We go for a walk with our 2 boys. I shifted my life about 6 years ago to not just what I did at the end of the day, but how I want to fell at the end of the day.
I like to go walking, trail running, and hiking through scenic areas. Behind my house there is a 100 acre open space of woods that is fun to explore and meditate in...
I don’t feel like I get to unwind in the evenings. That is the busiest part of my day. After wrapping up homeschooling and chores, hopefully I get to work on business stuff for a couple hours before I’m rushing off to make dinner, clean up, get 8 kids to bed, then my dear husband wants to talk and plan with me, which takes me to where I’m slobbering tired and I stumble into bed way too late. ⏰ Time goes by too fast for all the things I need to fit in it.
If I didn’t have so many people needing my constant help and attention, I would love to take a hot bath, and do some journaling and meditation before bed. I just haven’t been able to manage that yet. I’m lucky to squeeze in a prayer before passing out!
💙 you are one of the many mothers that deserves more awards than exist to give!! My wife homeschooling our 3 kids, works from home, and does all the other miraculous things that keep our home running. HUGE shout out to you and the other super women here 💙
Soon (faster than I would like) my children will move out and I will have much more time to do the things I want. For now, raising my beautiful family is a blessing and a joy, and if it means sacrificing some time for myself for a while that is just fine!
