Is your business your first "family"?
We get on here and pump hope-ium into each otherβs dreams. We cheer for whatβs possible financially and for impact. And those conversations are a lot more fun than dishes, bills, diapers, trash day, carpooling, clogged toilets, braces, homework, and whatβs for dinner. If weβre not carefulβ¦ priorities fall apart, business becomes our family, and our homes break. Hereβs one thing I do that helps me keep my priorities straight while pouring myself into a business I love. Boundaries. My family gets the same amount of passion and effort as my business. This doesnβt mean equal time and money, but consider thisβ¦ How much time and money have you invested in learning business? Have you invested even a fraction of that into learning to be a better spouse and parent? If you want to know someoneβs priorities look at their calendar and bank statements. Whatβs one thing you do to keep first things first?
