Is your business your first "family"?
We get on here and pump hope-ium into each other’s dreams. We cheer for what’s possible financially and for impact. And those conversations are a lot more fun than dishes, bills, diapers, trash day, carpooling, clogged toilets, braces, homework, and what’s for dinner. If we’re not careful… priorities fall apart, business becomes our family, and our homes break. Here’s one thing I do that helps me keep my priorities straight while pouring myself into a business I love. Boundaries. My family gets the same amount of passion and effort as my business. This doesn’t mean equal time and money, but consider this… How much time and money have you invested in learning business? Have you invested even a fraction of that into learning to be a better spouse and parent? If you want to know someone’s priorities look at their calendar and bank statements. What’s one thing you do to keep first things first?

Ever feel like your business is all work and no play?
A couple months back I was thinking about what I could do to avoid getting hyper focused on a task. My obsessing and frustration had taken what should have been a 15 minute task and turned it into over an hour and I still wasn’t done. I finally gave up and left my home office to go for a walk with my wife and kids. Just a few minutes into the walk and the answer came to me! I made a quick voice memo and continued the walk. Just like any area of life, sometimes the answers can be too hard to see when we aren’t enjoying ourselves. Stepping back and having a moment of productive distraction can actually boost morale, creativity, and can lead to unexpected breakthroughs. Do you have a favorite β€œproductive distraction?” Share in the comments what has worked for you or what you will test out this next week.

@Ognjen M you and I are on the same page, kids are my go to with a quick energy/movement thing as back-up. Awesome!

@Ben Kessington oh I have those too! Spider solitaire, football highlight reels, and more. Just gotta focus on the ones that can add value as those are the ones that typically encourage creativity in the area that I'm obsessing over πŸ‘

@Lysander Jones accurate if all we're discussing are business related funnels - and a great point that what is most important depends on what we value most or are seeking the most

@Katie Mulreed great addition!
Where are you in your Funnel Journey?
Some of us are new to the funnel world, some are well on our way to 2 Comma Club - wherever you are, check in. You may find wisdom from those further along, support from those in your position, or encouragement from all! So, where are you?

@Julius Apia Understood and agreed in principle. I'm looking at an initial engagement that would limit barriers to entry for individuals. Statistically speaking, the less you ask for the higher the engagement BUT that may not equate to higher quality. A/B testing is always the way in marketing. It eliminates assumptions or theories and replaces those with the actual feedback of our target market.
