Is your business your first "family"?
We get on here and pump hope-ium into each other’s dreams. We cheer for what’s possible financially and for impact.
And those conversations are a lot more fun than dishes, bills, diapers, trash day, carpooling, clogged toilets, braces, homework, and what’s for dinner.
If we’re not careful… priorities fall apart, business becomes our family, and our homes break.
Here’s one thing I do that helps me keep my priorities straight while pouring myself into a business I love.
Boundaries. My family gets the same amount of passion and effort as my business. This doesn’t mean equal time and money, but consider this…
How much time and money have you invested in learning business? Have you invested even a fraction of that into learning to be a better spouse and parent? If you want to know someone’s priorities look at their calendar and bank statements.
What’s one thing you do to keep first things first?
