I joined Fit University in March but never invested much in it until this week. There is a lot of great info here when you take the time to go through. I’m excited to see where the relaunch goes. Something that came to mind today was trying to narrow down what external motivators/challenges that I use to build internal motivation. This is important as my internal motivation is a major driver of my success. So I came up with my top 3 and encourage you to do the same. 1. I find when a coach challenges me to pick up a heavier weight it helps me believe I can do more. Sometimes I just need to know someone else believes I can. 2. When I think someone doubts my ability I am more apt to make a point that I can do something, no matter how hard. It creates a bit of mental competition. 3. Feedback from others, whether verbal or in a note, is extremely beneficial to my internal motivation. Hearing that what I’m doing inspires or encourages others is a great mental boost. Now that I’ve shared my top 3…what are yours? I truly believe sharing is a great way to help each other out.
