Wins (Week 1)
Started first week of breathwork practices. I’ve completed 6 daily breathwork practices alternating between CO2 Exposed Retention (Level 2) and 30/30/10 (Suspension). I thought I would need to be one level 1 for a while but actually found it easier than I thought and was able to move to level 2 instead
I’ve also completed the IRV and ERV stretch on 3 occasions which I have been doing after some mobility work to help open up my thoracic spine as well as the release exercises in the mobility section.
Biggest win however has been through a reduction in panic when experiencing air hunger. Usually when I do a full exhale there is panic in me and forces me to take a quick deep inhale. But I’ve found that, although still unpleasant, I can, take a slower inhale knowing that the panic will pass after a few seconds. Because of this I’ve taken the time on a few occasions this week to just breathe with slow inhales and exhales. I even got to the point on one day where I could breathe in and out through my nose for 15s each way. Usually breathing out through my nose I can struggle to do 6s
