Zoom Call this Saturday - Lets Get a Crew!
Hello everyone, I got my internet backed up with two batteries and ready to roll... it's still the jungle, so we shall see how it unfolds though. Drop the questions you may have for this call below. Again, anything in the realms of mindset, breath, performance, anxiety, nervous system, nutrition, weight loss, strength training. Give me specifics, make this worth it for YOU. Otherwise, I'll ramble about some random things I feel like ranting and rambling on. Drop a comment if you're coming!

Why breathing techniques don’t seem to work in the moments when you need them (eg sudden anxiety) and which breathwork techniques are in your opinion most useful and why
Wins (Week 4)
Decided to use the time to drive to Leeds on Thursday to just focus on my breath. Naturally fell into a 6 in and 6 out coherent pattern. Was going to do it for 15 minutes but ended up doing it for the full 2 hours. The drive flew by and I felt ridiculously calm when I arrived Continuing to do the IRV/ERV stretch 3 times a week. Noticed this week that my thoracic rotation has improved slightly which it’s safe to say I’ve never noticed before. I certainly feel less restricted than I did a few weeks ago when I first began

@Ryan Carroll Varies a bit but overall there’s been an improvement. As I’m tackling issues related to the CPTSD, I’m finding other issues underneath so there’s a bigger swing in moods but I also sort of expected that. But overall, there has definitely been an improvement
Check ins and Wins!
Drop them below! Also how can I support you this week? What can I share, offer, create?

Don’t ask me why but I naturally decided to some coherent breathing of 6 in and 6 out whilst driving up to Leeds this week. Firstly, the journey flew by and I was beyond calm when I arrived. Guess 2 hours of breathwork will do that to you
Alternate Nostril Breathing
This is no doubt a dumb question but I’m going to ask anyway 😊 how does Alternate Nostril breathing down regulate your nervous system? If my understanding is correct, one nostril stimulates and the other calms. So if you are using a constant breath for inhale and exhale, wouldn’t you stay as you as you are? Or is it a case of having a coherent breath will bring the nervous system into balance just by balancing the breath? I can understand a longer exhale bringing about down regulation, but haven’t quite got my head around this

@Ryan Carroll Yeah that makes sense
Wins (Week 3)
Continues with the IRV/ERV stretch (x3) and have noticed that my thoracic rotation has improved slightly which is a nice win Also, I’ve managed to move onto CO2 Performance Level 3 and have achieved that fully once and the second time I pretty much did (lasted 1m 20s on the last breath after 15s recovery)

I’m Ed. I have CPTSD, a distrust in the medical field and a deep desire to get better
