I definitely live by BAMO. But learning about Emotional Intelligence really stuck with me. Especially ping pong analogy. Sort of like, be the bigger person... rise above! I always believed in that, but learning the technicalities help me practice it!

@Christopher Erbe The tennis ball was with the egg- for resilience. But the ping pong was- let's say you're having a heated conversation with someone and they get more and more heated, and perhaps make a dig at you. If you make a dig back, the conversation will keep ping ponging into madness! But if you take a breath and communicate effectively without getting loud or jabbing back, the convo can be so much better!

ECR's & IER's
I'm curious to know, or if anyone else wants to share - what their ECR's are? What really gets your mind (and body) movin' and ready for the day/afternoon/evening? 🤔 Mine are affirmations in the car, listening to music sometimes really loud in the AM and PM to/from work, and of course BAMO!!!

This is a little silly... but one of ECR's is feeling the vibrations from my cat's purr in the morning. One of my cats jumps into bed every time my alarm goes off. Instead of hopping right out of bed, I give myself one or two minutes to soak up the kitty snuggles and let the vibrations from his purr lower any anxiety I might have.
BAMO!
Hiya! I l am absolutely loving my BAMO shirt. It's my reminder throughout the day to just keep swimming. Breathe and move on- it's a way of life. Let me know if you're interested in your very own BAMO merch 🧘‍♀️

Meditate Dammit
The single picture sums up what separates the elite athletes from the average ones. Meditation is a part of high-performance mental training for athletes. Learning how to keep your mind quiet, visualize your desired outcomes, conserve mental energy and get your body and brain in flow state requires being intentional and integrating cognitive fitness into your training regimen. Meditation is not some woo woo, fluffy thing that is reserved for only monks and spiritual people. It’s like the squat rack and Burpee’s for your brain. A tool to recondition it so that you can be present, calm and confident and kick ass at whatever life throw your way. If you’re an athlete out there and you don’t know how to meditate. It’s like you don’t know how to jog. You are going to get left way behind. meditate dammit. If you don’t know how. Just ask and I can train you.

I never thought I would be able to meditate. It seemed like such a daunting task. But after I learned how through my training, I do it all the time. Especially to fall back asleep after I am up at night with my baby!
