How would you price this??
https://docs.google.com/document/d/16GP55jdrpS_pO8bM8T9cENlF21rEhUz0p61mUqLdDvk/edit Let’s do a test run of pricing. I’ll start with a real client, complete with pictures. It’s 12,000 sqft cleaned 6x/week. What would YOU price it at? Provide in an answer: 1. Your rate per month 2. Total estimated hours 3. Breakdown by percentages of labor, supplies, and gross profit. For example we typically aim for 65% labor, 2% supplies, and 33% gross profit.  Share publicly (or in private): Thanksgiving weekend I’ll share the rate.

Be Challenged!
I teased it earlier in the week that I’d like to do a challenge (I love challenges). I wanted something fair, which equally engages whether you’re small (me) or you have a large business. Between November 1 and December 15, the winner of this challenge will win $100 for the holidays. How to win: 👉 3 points for every recurring proposal delivered. Doesn’t matter if it’s commercial or residential. 👉 1 point for every one time -or- temporary service proposal delivered. Temporary includes services that last for a month or less (eg a deep clean, PCC, etc). Doesn’t matter if commercial or residential. On December 16, add up your points. Post your score. It’ll be an honor system. I want you to post your own identifier of that prospect, how you met them, and the outcome after delivering that proposal. It doesn’t matter if they agreed to your proposal or not. Why proposals only? There were times I had zero growth goals. I wanted to solidify what I had. So if this is your goal, this makes it easy to participate. I also don’t want to put you in a cash flow crunch (been there, done that). The winner will be paid out around the 17th or 18th, after points are tallied, preferably through Venmo. Good luck!!!!

Employment Agreement
I don't think I published this before. I thought I had but I realized I didn't. In the link below I've included our actual employment agreement under Universal. Things to note: 1) State laws vary. I actually had one for DC employees, one for VA employees, and one for MD employees because laws different so much. Keep that in mind. I scrubbed this to be more generic but it doesn't mean it's the best fit for your laws. Definitely consider a legal review. 2) We offered benefits like paid holidays for everyone, paid time off, etc. If you don't offer these, definitely don't include them. We had also offered health insurance and a 401(k) in the past. I omitted those but of those of you reading it, and offer that, I'd be happy to DM those sections. 3) Some of these rules sound extreme but with every rule, there's a story that necessitated that rule. I'd be happy to share scenarios. 4) I scrubbed Universal's name and replaced it with "Company". I do recommend NOT using "company" as generic legalese. Enjoy! https://docs.google.com/document/d/19XrcCA2J-zSdZtX7rYiTLUJ07WGcI9SY7qratVpV8J0/edit?usp=sharing
