Of all the DM setting strategy points, I feel like the underlining theme is: be a homie but get to the point. It is necessary to strike a balance between being trustworthy so that the person on the other side of the internet can feel confident in confiding in you, while still taking control of the direction of the conversion. Essentially, you need to allow them to feel safe enough to let down their walls and simultaneously walk with them to the desired destination.
