Phase 1 Takeaways!
Just finished the fundamentals of sales/setting calls portion, and here are the biggest things I’ve learned:
  1. A routine is the ONLY way to make it in sales (and in life!)
  2. Sales is about the customer first. You always want to take them into consideration before the commission and the product even because if they are not going to benefit from the outcome of the sale, there is no point in selling to them.
  3. adding onto that, aiming to take emotion out of things is your best bet because it takes the stakes out and puts less pressure on yourself if you fail. Instead of making it super negative if you fail, try and improve from your mistakes.
  4. A little bit of psychology; how to dress, how to have a slick appearance because the way people perceive us is how they are likely to perceive the offer
  5. The fundamentals of a setting call: the opening, the discovery portion (finding pain points), overview of the offer, and the best way to get someone to book their next steps
  6. A little bit of inspo and encouragement to work at this as much as you can! Especially if someone is new to sales, it’s important to keep up practice with a new skill.
Hope that is a good overview of my takeaways!
