Happy Halloween Haunters! π
Speaking of scary things, let's talk about those sales moments that make us all cringe.
We've all been there:
- The follow-up email with a typo in the prospect's name
- That time we forgot to unmute on Zoom
- Getting caught off guard by a question we should've known the answer to
But here's the thing - these "horror stories" aren't just embarrassing moments.
They're the lessons that shaped us into better sales professionals. The mistakes that taught us to double-check everything, prepare more thoroughly, and sometimes... just laugh it off!
I'll go first: Early in my career, my cat had a bout of the zoomies, she was running, meowing, and running into things, to make it worse I was on a video call with a millionaire (oh boy).. Well short story short, she knocked into my box light I use for calls and it came crashing down on me in the middle of the call, and she then ran around and continued to scream.. πββ¬
Mortifying? Yes. But you better believe I never forgot to check my laptop battery and settings before a presentation again! π
These moments are like the jump scares of sales - they might make you want to hide under your desk, but they make for great stories later.
So, in the spirit of Halloween... what's your best (or worst) sales horror story? The most cringe-worthy moment that turned into a valuable lesson?
