I'm not going to assume I know how YOU are feeling this past week - and Yes, I am referring to the US Election.
π However this is a safe space and I always share my heart and MY heart, is a little broken. π
In the same way I always do as a vegan living in a non-vegan world.
So...
When a man who βleadsβ with Hate, Greed, Arrogance, Ignorance,
Lies and a mind-blowing heart-breaking Lack of Empathy
is voted into power - AGAIN....
Then it means those of us who value LOVE, Compassion, Co-operation, Kindness, Truth and Integrity MUST step up and shine our lights of love.
As the wise beyond his years River Phoenix would have said:
βRun to the rescue with love, and peace will follow.β
π« Part 2: Enjoying The Journey. π«
Whether your journey is health related, business related or perhaps it's about doing all you can to create a vegan world... it will likely take longer than you would love and regardless, it is vital to prioritise enjoying the process.
Every. Single. Day.
Right now, I feel it's even more important to focus on injecting JOY into our every single day. Here's how I'm doing it, and I'm using a filter of Stop, Start, Continue which I often turn to to help me focus my thoughts.
β° Stop: Short-changing myself on time. Rushing is UN-fun.
It also means I miss out on those incidental unimportant little (important!) things. Like, casual conversations with gym members or colleagues. Or sitting looking at the stars with my morning coffee and the cats milling around me. Or taking longer with my morning meditation because, today I am feeling it and I want to just sit for longer.

Start: Being even more intentional with my focus and energy. Because what you focus on expands. And energy is contagious.
I recently heard the advice, to be generous with your energy. I love that. Our hearts have a frequency and people can feel it. Maybe that is the "open-heartedness" I find to be so rare and so attractive.
Equally, a single focus on what I am doing - a conversation, or reading a book, or walking in nature device free - brings so much more satisfaction and joy to that ONE activity.
π Continue: Prioritising the things that I know keep me HAPPY as well as healthy. For too many years I focused only on Healthy and effective. The gym, food, sleep... WORK. These are all vital yet also, journaling, reading for pleasure, daily unscheduled time - these all keep me Happy. They are little "treats" that I get to enjoy each day.
