Monday Check In
Best way to get out of a rut! I used to find myself overwhelmed, and not wanting to care for my health or wellness. Sometimes I cared more than others and actually drank a little more water than normal. Then I would realize, I can’t find the energy to get out of my “rut”. Here is way to start: Take a notepad out. Write down the things that you care about. When you realize that you need to be able to have a well functioning body to achieve those dreams and goals, then you will realize that investing time in your health is important.

Your Health is Important
ALERT!! Pay attention to your daily signs & symptoms! A lot of us don’t settle down during the day long enough to realize your chronic tiredness, constant anxiousness, and lack of concentration is not normal. Your health is something you should notice and learn because your body is with you for your entire life. There are a few things you can start paying more attention to: - how you feel throughout the day, - how you are fueling your body ( are you hitting your protein? Providing it with the necessary carbs and fats daily? How about your micronutrients from veggies and fruits? - How much water are you drinking per day? - How would you rate your stress level per week? You are your biggest health advocate. Get to know your body. It keeps you alive.

Time management!
It is hard to prioritize your well-being, when you have a lot of responsibilities. The thing is…. Your situation doesn’t change, if you don’t change. No one is coming to save us. This is an example method of how I got started on building my habits: First, write out 3 personal wellness and fitness goals you want to start this week. Then, 1. write out your schedule for everyday this week (or even one day at a time) 2. look at the time blocks you have open (after you write out your responsibilities/ daily tasks) 3. use an open time block ( could be 5 mins, 30 mins, 1hr etc) for one of your personal wellness and fitness goals? 4. act on your goals immediately (and stop waiting for ideal circumstances) Keep working hard! Remember to get after it, with a sprinkle of kindness.
