What's up gentlemen!
I wanted to give a breakdown of how I typically meal prep. Feel free to use this!
NOTE: I am currently preparing food TWICE a week (Sunday and Thursday). These each take me about 2.5 hours to do.
1οΈβ£ Preparation
- 12 Containers (3 for Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs..could be different for you) laid out
- Pre-heat oven to 400F
- Start rice cooker for one day of rice
- Take out big bag of frozen brocoli and set to the side
- Upackage all my frozen tilapia and put onto 3-4 baking sheets, season with Cajun seasoning
- Unpackage 2 pounds of lean beef, start cooking on stove. Season with garlic/onion powder
- Throw tilapia in oven when oven is ready
- Finish ground beef, drain, set aside in giant bowl
- Finish tilapia, set aside in giant bowl
- Unpackage brocoli, set aside in giant bowl
- Clean up
2οΈβ£ Plating
Weigh all of the meat into containers
- Add 1/2 cup brocoli to all containers
- Put everything in freezer
π’ Rice
- NOW, I like fresh rice, so I just cook it in the cooker every night, and then place it in the containers the night before. You can certainly prep ALL the rice ahead of time (I just choose not to)
- So, the night before you would start the rice cooker, grab the containers out of the freezer, put the rice in there when done, and throw everything in the fridge for the next day.
I hope this helps, fellas. Not saying this is the ironclad method to meal prep, but this works for me.
God bless!
