Is an Onboarding mandatory for a simple App?
Hi guys. I've just finished developing my first app and I would like to know your opinions about adding an onboarding process. I've heard most onboardings improve the funnel and convert more users than those apps that do not include them. What is your opinion? As for now I have a couple of entry points in my app to the subscriptions screen, however I don't want to be a heavy spammer with it.

@Ingo A Good point but the breathing technique is quite specific (Wim Hof method) so I had to do it there...

You are never to early to start marketing for product
Here is my attempt to market the product early, while it is still in Beta (Alpha?): • I created a Reel on IG with a call to action in a video to comment with "Beta" and got a test version of the App Link to the Reel: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDbrMXkAO8x/?igsh=MWJzdnNpMTVhYXpybg== • This will trigger Mnychat automation and the TestFlight link will be sent in DMs (check the video for details) https://testflight.apple.com/join/rj1nxOW4 • As a follow-up message, the user will get a link to the Discord chat for beta testers https://discord.gg/y4YPu8Tj imo it is better to have something else besides DMs for ongoing communication with beta testers. My audience is geeky, so Discord should work. - The reel was shared in stories as well - Also, I dropped the video in TikTok, but that is sinking ship atm and there is no good way to share the link besides adding it to the profile Next actions: - same video sharing in YouTube shorts, It is harder to share the link, but I can add it in the description and hope that someone will find it there :) - probably I will do a live stream working on the app as well and add a link in the description and in the pinned comments. The app still is crappy and there are bugs and unfinished features, but this is a good candidate to test marketing in the beta stage and get early adopters for the app to collect feedback.

I joined Twitter/X yesterday and I don't feel confident that I can build an audience there... Any tips? ps. let's connect - https://x.com/seanq
There are so many apps, the market is saturated...
I was doing some market research for a few of my app ideas, and wow, I found so many similar apps to my ideas that I almost thought I was crazy. It put me in a bad mood since, for basically every idea I had, I found there were already tons of very good apps available in the App Store. The keyword research was also brutal. But then, in the evening, the MacStories Selects 2024 article came out, and I read it. I noticed that many of the apps featured on the list are part of saturated markets (like PDF scanner apps, save-for-later apps or movie tracker apps, etc.). This gave me hope that if my solution solves a real-world problem, I should still build it.

Feeling stuck...
Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a productive evening. I’m writing this post because I feel stuck. Over the past couple of months, I’ve launched two apps and a blog. Recently, I’ve started to feel like I’m not making progress. Here’s my plan: Short-term goals: • ⚠️ Publish another app (the first one with a paywall, not yet in progress) • Try new strategies for ASO (in progress) • Add app rating nudges • Add new, interesting features (where I learn a new skill, like implementing notifications, which can be reused in future apps - in progress) • Document everything and build in public on my blog (in progress) Blockers: • I’m unsure what app to build next or whether to monetize one of my existing apps (I don’t think my current apps are monetizable) • I struggle with idea capture in my notes—nothing particularly interesting has come up so far…

@Simoo Emkoss thank you for the suggestion, I agree with you. Do you have any good resources where to start?
