ASO app on Mac
I have recently discovered the ASO app for ASO research, however, it is no longer available on the app store for Mac. Do any of you know a way to download it from any other source? Thanks in advance.

@Zan Cerne Hi Zan. Unfortunately that's not the app I was talking about. Actually @Aivars Meijers mentions it on his ASO Research post. The link is the following: https://apps.apple.com/lv/app/store-redirect-aso-explorer/id1667886076

@Zan Cerne Yeah, I think they must have removed it from the store.
Is an Onboarding mandatory for a simple App?
Hi guys. I've just finished developing my first app and I would like to know your opinions about adding an onboarding process. I've heard most onboardings improve the funnel and convert more users than those apps that do not include them. What is your opinion? As for now I have a couple of entry points in my app to the subscriptions screen, however I don't want to be a heavy spammer with it.

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys. I will give it a shot. I've watched this video on youtube talking about the same things you said and it seems pretty reasonable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ihRepd_FV4&list=PLs1R3FUy-2WqspcHoOwlOmVzT3sfw8zxo&index=48

@Zan Cerne Wow, that's definitely a great design. I like its simplicity. Will give it a shot. thanks a lot.
There are so many apps, the market is saturated...
I was doing some market research for a few of my app ideas, and wow, I found so many similar apps to my ideas that I almost thought I was crazy. It put me in a bad mood since, for basically every idea I had, I found there were already tons of very good apps available in the App Store. The keyword research was also brutal. But then, in the evening, the MacStories Selects 2024 article came out, and I read it. I noticed that many of the apps featured on the list are part of saturated markets (like PDF scanner apps, save-for-later apps or movie tracker apps, etc.). This gave me hope that if my solution solves a real-world problem, I should still build it.

You can try building AI wrappers. They work pretty well. If still you prefer to do something else, I would try to find a real world problem as you said, research how many apps out there offer a solution and then build one that offers something new. Today adding AI to an app can make a big difference. I'm using OpenAI calls on mine for a super simple service that no other apps of the same kind have yet.

@Zan Cerne You might want to try some nerd trend like pokemon, magic the gathering or coin or postal seals collections

Welcome aboard
Testing, yes or no?
Do you guys normally use tests for your MVPs? I'm thinking about whether or not I should do it on mine now that I'm close to finishing it.

@Ingo A I'm working with the chatGPT Xcode integration for tests right now. although I won't be covering 90% of my code. It's way too much work for a MVP
