Day 3 & 4
Today was a busy day. My guests @Gi Di and her husband left today after spending two beautiful weeks here! I was busy cleaning etc and could have made every excuse in the book to skip my workout!! But after supper, when it's usually my bedtime, I laid down my mat in my living room and did a 20 minute peloton core strength class. It was a benchmark class featuring planks, hollow body holds, and Russian twists. The beauty of benchmark classes is that you give your best effort, then, with consistent workouts, retake the class later to see your progress in reps and time! I highly recommend taking a benchmark class to see where you are at! Yesterday I went to yoga but today I might do a big fat nothing LOL it is snowy and cold and I am meal prepping and taking down Christmas decorations! Maybe I will fit in a walk or some yoga later tonight . . .
1 Year Alcohol Free!!
Was I an alcoholic? Maybe. 🤔🙈 Did I drink to escape emotions and stress? Absolutely. Was it hard to quit drinking at parties? At first, yes! I felt like a total buzzkill and a party pooper 💩. But the longer I stayed alcohol-free, the clearer it became: ALCOHOL IS POISON. Full stop. ☠️ I work so hard to keep my body strong, healthy, and fit. So why on earth would I willingly add poison to it—just to “fit in”? No thanks! Now, at 47, I’m stronger, fitter, and healthier than I’ve ever been. And one of the biggest reasons for that is my decision to eliminate alcohol. If you’re on the fence about cutting it out, let this be your sign. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my health, my mindset, my vibration, and my life. Cheers to that (with sparkling water, of course)! 🥂💪🏽🔥 Start 2025 off with a healthy bang, not hung over! Together we can thrive and create the lives we truly deserve. 💥 I’d love for you ladies to share any tips or tricks that helped you quit alcohol! 1 Year Alcohol Free!!

I'm definitely doing dry January and will go from there. I don't drink a lot and it's mostly wine with meals, which I feel is very cultural being Italian 🇮🇹 however, I have gone months in the past without any alcohol & definitely felt better.So i'm going to take it one month at a time and try again. I find it difficult when the partner I live with Is not so eager to give it up l o l I'm not sure if my goal is to be alcohol free forever - I've already greatly minimized my alcohol consumption in the last few years

I had an ah-ha moment the other day while chatting with a follower. She runs an online business but confessed to feeling drained and over social media—and it really got me thinking. My vision for **EmpowerHER** is to be a positive alternative to social media. You don’t need to ditch Instagram or Facebook, but here, you’ll have a space to share, ask for advice, and express yourself without fear of trolls or negativity. Social media has its perks, but let’s be real—it can also leave us feeling drained, envious of those "perfect" lives, and frustrated with algorithms that seem to work against us. That’s why EmpowerHER is different. It’s a safe, uplifting space filled with high vibes and positivity. Day 2!
I just finished a 15minute core strength class on my Peloton APP, which is my daily go to app! The app even has a feature that allows me to track my outdoor walks. Which I have committed to going for a beach walk 5x per week, Monday to Friday for an hour! It's the perfect way for me to start the morning, out in nature, feeling accomplished from walking with my 20lb weighted vest, bare feet on the beach. If you are intrigued by the weighted vest, I do not recommend starting off with 20lbs if you are a newbie, but they do come in 6lbs, 8lbs, and 12lbs. Today I did a Pilates reformer class . . . . thanks for reminding me of my weighted vest. I need to dig it out again. I think of using it in the summer all the time but never in winter for some reason.
