@Alvis Ciritis good question, I know there are a few concrete products still made in North America but not sure if they are part of that.

@Alvis Ciritis I hear ya, I think finding a bulk supplier is a great idea, but I don’t wanna take the combination of time and risk to find a supplier who’s actually gonna treat me fairly. Unless I’m doing huge numbers I’d rather spend a little bit more to go with a reputable supplier who’s gonna shoulder the quality risks while I focus on the work. But I’m really in the hands-on stage and not even thinking about growth beyond what I can do so it really comes down to where you wanna go with a business.
Job Site Generator
Up till now I've run on the homeowners power, usually direct from the box with a 10 gauge extension wire but I'm interested in having a generator option. My emergency generator is a Champion gas powered unit, specs are 6500 running watts, 7800 peak watts. Not sure if this is good enough to run a 120V vac /3 motors + pre separator and a 240V 13.2Amp ASL T2 grinder but since I'll probably add a slightly bigger grinder down the road I wonder if extra watts will be needed. Not looking at any commercial work right now, strickly residential. Would love to know what you all are using or see as a good value option?

@Junaid Malik thank you for the good tips. I got my Champion at Costco and it has done good for me so far, 12000 running watts is a beast, gonna look out for it. Thanks

Cost SQ. FT. to Grind Only?
If you were to price quote just the cost to grind the concrete. What would you charge per square feet? Would this differ if you owned your grinder and equipment vs had to rent the all the equipment? Curious to see your thoughts thanks! I'm just starting up coating find this group to be very helpful getting my business started up.

I’ve dabled in building websites for over 2 decades to save money and I currently use Themify on Wordpress. IMO all platforms are good enough if you go down the rabbit hole however in doing so you dilute focus energy and in my case anyway my work might impress some people but my sites are so deficient in SEO as to be effectively non existent. Long story short my advice is to get it done by a pro or someone who wants to build websites as a business, I collaborate with a few people in that domain and they are a bargain compared to the time suck a website can become. I think there’s a module in the course that says something similar. If you decide to build your own website count the hours you put into building it, if you’re satisfied after 10 hours great, if not revaluate and consider contracting it out 👍

@Jacob English I’d say a single landing page with your core service/s, and a CTA for a free quote is a good minimum. Next level might be social links to check out your work.
Driveway
Do any of you guys fix driveways like this one? If so what’s the best approach?

Looks like spalling. I get a lot of this and what we do is grind to expose the capillaries, degrease / condition the concrete and apply a deep densifying product that reacts with the Portland as it penetrates into the concrete. After about 24 hours it begins pushing out the impurities and transform the slab from a sponge into a shield. 2-7 days later and you’re ready to put down a surface without fear of delamination.
