Epoxy over plywood subfloors
Has anyone done it here ? Covering up the seams and screw holes with patcher paste and then using epoxy ( see pic for reference ). Wondering how is the maintenance on floors like that and how do they hold up, is it worth it at all or just looks fancy on pictures

@Rodolfo Martinez thanks for your input 👍🏻 I dunno how I feel about flaked floor in the living space, I was thinking more of a stone like looks. I like epoxy because it doesn't have an odor as much and I haven't tested out the braking point on flex, that's a good idea . Just thought the advantage of polyaspartic is uv resistance mostly, which inside isn't really a worry.
Anyone from Canada?
Just curious if there's people from up North, to see where you guys order products from

@Neil Damackine cause I have ordered deep pour epoxy from Alibaba before, the shipping is pretty pricey of course, but it would make sense if there's demand, I just never had too many customers, so I didn't want to go that route for doing floors.

@Neil Damackine totally hear you, I am in the same boat . Even less than that, I'm literally just starting off/ trying it out as a one man show and one thing I noticed is that the margins due to product cost are not the greatest, that's the only reason I was wondering about it. Unless charging more all together as an option, but for a guy without any reputation, good luck finding clients that will pay 2x more than other companies would charge ( ones who have bulk supplies )
How to find help
Where does everyone look for help? Indeed? Temp agency? Etc?

@David Hamel how big is your company? If you don't mind me asking. You do just coatings or is it just as an extra to everything else?

@David Hamel that's 👍🏻 so you probably have more than 10 people on payroll I'm guessing?

Hey everyone! I am Alvis from Canada, Saskatchewan. I don't have much business experience other than attempts to quit my 9-5 . I worked in the oil gas and mining for about 15. Over a year ago I took a course on epoxy and concrete overlays . I had previous experience in construction, drywall and mudding... so I figured will try going the handy man service route. Did couple very small jobs mostly for friends , a bunch of quotes but no actual work that I feel would be able to pay the bills. Since I moved from Europe I don't have many connections, the goal is to get to a point where I can have just couple guys with me that would help. Garage floors that are not heated in winter is a no go here, so I want to see if anyone has experience in doing these floors over wooden subfloors, so there is work through winter months as well or what are any other available applications. That's a long story short. Would love to see what's out there and talk to all of the ones who walked the path
