Mostly New Breath Hold Lounge
Hello everyone. This is the mostly new Breath Hold lounge. Some of you are probably wondering why a new one. The other one had a lot of posts, but not a lot of people used it anymore. So I am hoping to make this one more fun. This is also the place for questions if you have one. A few rules though. Make sure to post your breath hold times in the breath hold thread. If they aren't posted in the correct place then you don't have a chance on winning a weekly giveaway prize. They will also be removed from this thread and put in the other. The second rule is to be kind to the people posting in here. The third is to have fun. ๐Ÿ™‚

@Curro Cachinero Hey Curro, that is a real intriguing question indeed ๐Ÿ˜€ At the moment I'm on the point of a restart with the program, so I'm playing with different thoughts on how I want to start again. Not sure yet. Will just follow my intuition I guess... I feel what you say about this point where a practice will turn into a habit, a way of live rather. And I certainly want to get at that point to. It seems so far from where I am now, but man what would it change my life completely when I succeed! What do I need to get there? How can I incorporate breatheology in my daily life without approaching as a 'practice' I have to do to 'get better in the future'? Hmmm ... food for thought Curro ... let's keep this topic alive and see how we can find our way in this.

Post Your Breath Hold (Week 44: Oct 28th - Nov 3rd)
Post all your Breath Hold Times here! Let's go & double your breath hold! ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿซ Step 1: Take an inhale, start your stopwatch & hold your breath. Step 2: Post your time here so you can get feedback and points Step 3: Head on over to the Classroom & follow the instructions Already participated last week, or last month? No worries, you can post and do it as much as you want (as a matter of fact, we'd only encourage it ๐Ÿ˜Ž) And if you done the challenge once (or twice), feel free to shake it up a little bit. Do exhale breath holds only for a week, or take it easy and do 1-2 breath holds a day without going for a max. Variety is the spice of life. Get to level 4 in the Leaderboards, and you unlock the Superhuman Lungs training protocol (who doesn't want to have lungs like the Human Dolphin?) Post at least 3 times before the week is over, and you may be the lucky winner of the Breath Hold Mastery course ๐Ÿ˜Ž And last (but not least) a little shout out to last weeks top 10 leaderboard: @Denis Blanchard @Mucchan Toshima @Curro Cachinero @Pedro Augusto Costa E Braga @Bruce Stayne @Tina Mosner @Elliot Raboy @Inese Rieta @Abdou Aziz @Abednego Moses Suryanda

How Long Can YOU Hold Your Breath? (Leaderboards Explained)
Hi there, Polar Bears. How's it chillin'? One of the nifty features of Skool is the leaderboard. You can find it in the top navigation bar of the 7-Day Breath Hold Challenge page (see image). For the biologists and animal lovers among us, you'll understand the animals linked to each level. That's right - the order is based on how long each animal can hold their breath under water. Now, how do you go from a polar bear to a sea turtle? The answer is: sharing & posting quality stuff! Every single time someone likes your post, you get a point. Each level requires a certain amount of points to level up. (click the question mark under your profile picture to see the exact amount) New levels also mean new features! For instance, when you become a Sea Otter, you can message each other (this is mostly to keep those spammy Polar Bears from sending unsolicited ads) If you level up to a Dugong, you can migrate to the Discovery Masterclass, and of course, when you reach the Dolphin level, you can learn how to train Superhuman Lungs. We are still playing around with the rewards for the other levels, as well as winning the weekly/monthly leaderboards. Rewards may be subject to change. The goal of this community that we help each other. So be kind, and give your fellow polar bear a like when you can. We'll be a bale of sea turtles soon enough. So, are you ready to level up? ACTION: Post your current level (and feel free to come back every time you reach a new level).

My Labrador loves her Walrus cuddle toy called Gompie very much too๐ŸคŽ๐Ÿฅฐ - Dives can range from around 80-90 meters (265 โ€“ 295 feet) deep, and walruses can stay underwater for about 30 minutes. - Walruses spend about two thirds of their life in the water. - While underwater, walrus heart rates slow down so that they do not become too cold. - Odobenus rosmarus, the walrus binomial name, means โ€œtooth-walking sea horse. - A walrus bellow can be heard over 1.5 km (.7 miles) away. - The walrus is a pinniped, which means โ€œfeather footed,โ€ along with other members of the seal family. - Female walruses move away from the herd to give birth. Nobody is sure exactly why, but it has been suggested it may be to move away from the collective walrus scent that attracts predators or perhaps to keep the calves from being crushed. - Walrus mothers cuddle calves in the same manner as human mothers. - Their metabolic rate requires heavier walruses to eat roughly 70 kg (154 pounds) of mussels per day, which corresponds to about 282 Mars bars!
