Do people still buy in tough economic times?
Here’s the truth, based on what I’ve seen since 2020. Both in my business and from working with my clients 👇 Yes, people absolutely still buy, BUT... HOW they buy has changed. People are taking longer to make decisions. They’re looking for more trust, more value, and more proof before committing to an offer. That’s why strategies like webinars, seminars, or challenges don’t bring the same results they did a few years ago. It's not that these methods don’t work anymore... They don’t work as isolated tactics. Running a single challenge or webinar and expecting a huge cash injection? That’s no longer a reliable strategy. What works instead? 🔥 A Marketing Ecosystem 🔥 A marketing ecosystem is an interconnected system of strategies, tools, and touchpoints that guide your audience from curiosity to commitment. Instead of relying on one-off tactics, a marketing ecosystem works to: ✨ Attract the right people into your world. ✨ Nurture them with content, resources, and conversations that resonate deeply. ✨Convert them into paying clients by showing the value you bring to their lives. ✨Retain and delight them, turning them into loyal customers and advocates. Imagine every part of your business - from your lead magnets and social media posts to your email sequences and client onboarding - working together as one seamless system. In an ecosystem, things like webinars, challenges, or masterclasses aren’t standalone events. Instead, they’re pieces of a bigger puzzle designed to build trust, offer value, and create consistent results. People don’t just want to be sold to. They want to be helped. They need to see that you understand their struggles, that your solutions work, and that investing in you will make their lives better. That means proving you can help them - by actually helping them - before they buy. And the beauty of a marketing ecosystem? It lets you meet people where they are. At every stage of their journey. Without relying on constant “hard sells.” 👏🎉

@Christine van Tonder Truth!
What do you Quiet Times look like right now?
I've run the gamut with Quiet Times - from: ~> consistent hours spent daily reading and copying Scripture, writing out prayers, singing worship songs at a specific spot in my home to ~> quietly having conversations with the Lord in my heart and mind without any specific, intentional reading of Scripture to creating my own introductions to ~> following a chronological Scripture Reading plan and aligning it timing wise with the Hebrew months and Tara-Leigh Cobble's Daily Recap insight videos in my free Skool Community and then sharing my reflections in Skool & on FB I have enjoyed and been blessed by every season and every variation of what Quiet Times look like, but I'm ready for conversations about what I'm reading! Would love to know how you're spending time with the Lord and if a free conversation/discussion group interests you!

Not all good habits are useful.
This time of year I do a lot of reflection. I have been working with Lisa Vanderveen in her program and I am doing my end of year review program I do with another coach. And as I do this process one of the questions that comes up is what are you leaving behind in 2024? The work I have been doing in Lisa's program has been helping me see how habit and actions from past situations and experience are still impacting my current circumstances and reality. Something that has come up in both places with this idea that - Not all good habits are useful or serving me. So I am auditing these habits and determining which ones I need to shift or pivot or drop all together. Do you have any habits that are good habits but are no longer serving you? Consider how you can make some changes and see if that creates more space and opportunity for the things you want more of in life. Maybe it's a "should" or three that needs to be let go of. One that is "good" but holding you back. Mine was surprising - my current devotional time and practices are not longer serving me or feeding my soul the way I need them to. It's time to do some things differently. Would love to hear if any of you have good habits that need auditing and adjusting or to be let go of completely.

Personal Post: Discerning God's Will
I need some advice. Two years ago, I had a vision on my heart—a coaching program called Purpose-Passion-Profit. The idea was to support Christian entrepreneurs (or aspiring ones) with their marketing, offers, and positioning. I won't share too much here as I don't want this to come off as self-promotional. I launched it, and there was definite interest, but before I could onboard clients, I felt a very strong pull to step away. God revealed that I wasn’t pursuing it for the right reasons, and that the stress I was experiencing was (because of the pressure I put on myself to make it work) was negatively impacting my family. Fast forward to earlier this year: When I first envisioned the membership I recently launched, this program - Purpose-Passion-Profit, came to mind again. I thought it might fit perfectly with the other courses I’m building. Lately, I’ve also been feeling called to niche down further — to specifically support Christian wellness practitioners. Here’s where I’m struggling: Many of the wellness practitioners I currently support incorporate tools, modalities, or teachings rooted in new age practices or other religions (like Buddhism). I’m increasingly uncomfortable when these counter-Christian topics come up in posts or conversations. On one hand, my current strategy and positioning have been going really well, and I don’t want to disrupt that unless it’s God guiding me. On the other hand, this pull is becoming more persistent. Has anyone experienced something similar? Have you ever revisited a vision you once set aside? How did you discern whether it was God calling you to make a change?

@Christine van Tonder, to be honest, if it feels like that, Holy Spirit is convicting you and you need to pay heed. Trust what you hear Him say and that He will lead the way to freedom and new clients are in complete alignment with your beliefs!!

@Christine van Tonder, I'm still working my way back to Telegram - will probably leave my message tomorrow morning on my walk!! Have lots of thoughts ready for verbal processing!! (I did listen to your message, just need to respond 🥰)
How amazing is it that our God is the only God of Love first.
In doing some reading and devotional this morning - I was reminded that of all the religions in the world Christianity is the only one that is LOVE first. All of our interactions with God are through the lens of LOVE. Even when there is correction and discipline - it is through the lens of love. There is no other faith that is so love centric. And being love centric makes ALL the difference. He so LOVED this world and the humans in it - despite their full rejection of that love and relationship - that he did the unthinkable and became human so he could repair forever that broken relationship. That is pretty mind blowing. And this is just a reminder that if you are indeed going to call yourself a Christian - you much proceed LOVE first in all things. Not easy for sure. But that is how we truly walk and act in the image of God. Love first. Have a great weekend!
