Sometimes its the small things...
Tired from the weekends work on the house, walking into the plant this morning (about quarte mile from parking into office)...light warmish cool breeze, smell of burnt jet fuel, a rush of previous years memories went thru my mind.....when I stated tech school adjacent to Tulsa International airport and re-fueling, working at St Louis international airport as a re-fueler and now working adjacent to Nashville International airport. Since I started a career in aviation in 1986, as mentioned above, I have been around amazing aircraft...from small 2 seaters to fighter jet, even building F-18, F-15, T-45, C-17 and AV8B Harrier. One of my joys has been aviation and has been a great career thus far from being a hands on mechanic to work force management and now a Tool Designer. back to it...the combination of the warmish cool breeze, smell of burn jet fuel, calm clear mind, centering and taigong as I walked in ... in that moment the Qi started rushing into my body leaving me with a smile and a great sensation of calmness and realization. I had the wonderful opportunity of work with an old British chap that had retired from Airbus in the early '90s and started a 2nd career where I work. This fellow literally worked all his live less 10-12 days. He would say "if you find your aircraft, you will never work a day in your life". Such as @Sifu John Cogan stated in one of his videos, if you are doing what you love...its not work...you are just working as what you love. I know exactly what you mean by your statement Sifu. That said...if you haven't found your 'airplane' as yet, you will and you when you do it is wonderful. Mine...currently my work and building, remodeling a home Thank you for reading...
