@Dillon Olias I drink water and don't eat much dried fruit at all.

@Dillon Olias thank you for the thought!
In search of a doctor
Does anyone have a tele-health doctor they recommend? I need someone that can order specific labs, which mainstream doctors don't seem to know about. Functional medicine doctors do, but they mostly seem to be on the high-fat, high-salt side of the dietary divide, and I'd rather not pay to have someone tell me to eat differently. (In case it matters, the tests I need ordered are ZnT8, MMP-9, and TGFb1.) Thanks!

Thanks, I've looked into a couple of them which didn't offer these ones, but I'll check the rest out just in case!

@Doug Graham A few years ago, a mold toxin lab was elevated, as was an autoimmune lab for diabetes. We moved, and they both went back to normal. I checked them a couple of months ago and they're both very elevated again, and I don't know why. Unfortunately, 80/10/10 doesn't seem to be enough for whatever it is I'm exposed to.
Bone Problems
Hi friends, I am really struggling right now. A few days ago I bruised my ribs for the 3rd time in the past year. I'm concerned because all I was doing was trying to open a stiff door in a way that was putting some pressure on my rib area. That injury has prevented me from doing most of my calisthenics routine that I am trying to build up to increase my bone density. Then this morning I woke up with a throbbing foot just out of the blue. The symptoms seem to be consistent with a stress fracture and I cannot walk at all. To give some honest background info, I am 31 yrs old and have struggled with anorexia for the last 18 years and have been consistently underweight for that entire time. I had a bone scan done about 6 years ago which showed that I had pre-osteoporosis in most areas of my body. I typically walk around 2 hours a day at a very fast pace in addition to my calisthenics and manual labor/gardening a few hours each day, and when I am unable to do this I have a really hard time eating and intentionally decrease my calorie intake as I still fear gaining weight and being sedentary. I also hardly ever allow myself to sit and rest which I'm wondering if that has contributed to my foot injury. I realize that eating disorders are a tricky condition to understand if you don't have experience with it but I'm hoping someone here might be able to give me some words of wisdom. Thanks, Dareios

I'm sorry you're struggling, and hope you find answers soon. I didn't see mentioned how much greens and veggies you eat. Do you eat enough to get enough minerals every day? Maybe this can be an attainable goal even on the days you still struggle with calories, so you're at least meeting some of your needs and taking baby steps forward while you work on overcoming other challenges?
I need help
I've been eating 80/10/10 for one year exactly today. And while some things have improved immensely, my list of foods I'm allergic/intolerant of is growing, and I haven't got many left. I don't know why my histamine/mast cells/whatever is causing it is worsening, but I must be missing something, because that aspect of my health is going the wrong way. Any insight is appreciated.

@Trayce Pjirrou Have you noticed issues with organically-approved pesticides/herbicides? My assumption is that commercially grown organic is much different than locally-grown, small farm organic, but I can't afford the latter.

@Isabella Vanasse Thanks for the reply, I have emailed with Anne and have read her book, but I crave vegetables when I don't eat them, I think I need the minerals. But I did just spend a week in Costa Rica eating only mangos, avocados, and bell peppers and felt great (aside from craving salads), I attributed it to the sun, but maybe I should explore the diet aspect a bit further if the Vitamin D doesn't pan out.
Apples
Do apples have a significant place in your 811 regimen ? Do you eat them often, especially in winter ? It did for me in the beginning of my transition, but I noticed for the last three years that I consume them less and less. To the point that today I cannot imagine making a mono meal of apple, as I find usually myself more hungry at the end of the meal than before, and they provoke almost always some kind of stomach ache. At best it is a little snack nowadays... It's far from being a sub-tropical/tropical fruit, maybe that's the reason ? I only go for good organic ones of course, as it's one of the worst spayed fruit. I've also noticed Doug doesn't mention it once in the week of eating examples of the 801010 book. What is your experience ?

I feel similar, I do eat them, but it's often out of necessity instead of choice, and I don't always feel great after. I do make applesauce, "apple donut" where I blend them on low in the vitamix to chop them small, then cover with a date/cinnamon sauce (idk, they taste like donuts to me), and apple pie which are all good once in awhile, but I never want even these very often. Honeycrisp and cosmic crisp are both in large supply and inexpensive right now, and they are both delicious, I can never understand why I don't want more of them.

I started to get type 1.5 diabetes a few years ago before I switched my diet, it has stabilized now, but I had some damage done to my pancreas so I need to be careful how I eat. I only spot check my blood sugars these days, but this thread got me wondering, and sure enough, my blood sugar spikes more with apples (blended into applesauce or fine chopped) than any other fruit, including dates! Now I'm wondering how common this is...
