Prenatals- yes or no? Which ones?
I'm wondering... I haven't gotten far into the course yet so maybe you talk about this. I'm wondering about what vitamins and or prenatal vitamin brands you recommend? Here's why: I imagine that the philosophy would be that we should be getting all our vitamins from the food we eat BUT my understanding from farming is that the way our food is grown and the nutrients that are taken from the soil often leave our foods deficient from providing the fullness of what they did provide or could in nutrients and minerals. Meaning often the magnesium and other nutrient rich minerals are lacking in the food we eat and so just like we'd put in compost, companion plants, mulch with plant matter to build the soil- we might also utilize supplements to assist with accessing nutrients from our food and or boosting what the food might not have in abundance. Also they tend to be costly and confusing to navigate since they aren't regulated well by the FDA.
