EMOM… how important is it?
As I’ve progressed (thanks to @Sean Griffin and @Grant Anderson amazing programming) - I’ve noticed it’s harder to level up on the big bells (40kg/44kg/48kg) with 10x10 EMOM. I’m finding I’m sacrificing form to get it done in time. I know @Grant Anderson has said not to worry about time, technique is key- but am I sacrificing the cardio gains (leaning up) if I don’t keep up EMOM? I have a tendency to say “just man up and do it…punk” But, I wanted input from my betters on what my mind set should be as I’m trying to reach and own that 48kg. Thanks!!!!

i'm a big fan of EMOM and I have done it with this programming working up to 20 rounds with a 48kg. That said---if I'm not feeling it, just do the EMO 2min :) gives you the rest you need to keep the form on point. Its a nice hack
HELP
I NEED help for personal motivation. Trying to lock down my workout days and time for consistency. I'm open to any advice/suggestions you may have. I also feel I have a gap in weight from my moderate to heavy bell. I have a 35lb KB and recently got 60 and 80lb bells on discount. I'm concerned about injury as I progress to not push myself too quick. Re-injury has been one of my setbacks over time, so attempting to move with more wisdom in my health progression.

Hey Anthony---first off let me give you props for making your fitness a priority. It really is the foundation of life and transfers to success in so many other areas when you get it dialed in. Let me tell you a dirty secret---you don't need motivation---you need discipline. Motivation comes and goes---where as discipline is doing the thing you know you need to do even when you don't want too. Simple, not easy, I know---but this mindset will improve your consistency. Also, if you slip up, have a short memory and don't let it derail you. Every workout doesn't have to be a 100% either---some days just showing up is enough. As for weight jumps---I'd recommend getting maybe a 50lb bell if you are worried about that jump to 60. The other thing is taking longer breaks on your swings and doing double, triple and quad getups with the lighter weight---then the singles with the next bell will be a piece of cake and your form will be on point. good luck and enjoy the process
Where to go fro here?
Looking for advice/reccomendations. Finished the 4 week flagship today! Using 53lb KB as medium and 70lb KB as heavy. Wondering if I should keep scaling up in volume with the same bells or move up in weight and starting the flagship over? 160 swings @ 16 swings EMOM for 10 mins w/ 53# felt good. (6 out of 10 if 10 is Max effort). 100 swings w/ 2 medium and 8 Heavy also a 6 out of 10. Get ups w/ the 70# feel good. Also considering including an additional movement into the flow (cleans or snatches). End goal is to get lean. Tracking MACROS and calorie intake. Lost 10lbs in the first 2 weeks, but the weight loss Plato’d since. Appreciate any insight/perspective. Thank you Jeff

Recommend keep going with this program and up the weight…or just repeat and up it next round. As for the diet…focus on the protein intake and calories and maybe drop the calories by 200 to break through
Fun little workout from today

Milestone Bell
Okay- it’s been a minute since I’ve posted- but I’ve been going thru the flagship program now for 6 months. It is just what I do now- and I’m still loving it! I had never used KBs for training, and coming off elbow surgery- I started small and humble at 16kg GU/20kg Swings. I’m now needing to buy my first 48kg bell to start working it in on my heavy swings!! 👀👀💪🏻💪🏻. I’ve been looking forward to this day - but now I’m left with a dilemma (a fun dilemma). WHAT 48KG BELL DO I BUY??? I want something special to commemorate the occasion- I have mostly all Rogue bells and a few Lifeline (Amazon) bells. So I thought I’d ask the community of big boys @Grant Anderson @Sean Griffin @Tom Kortegaard @Bas De ruyter @Rhys Evans @David Hall @Nathan Visser @Nate Dye @Jacob Nuesser - what should I get???
