Taking your time with life
Heyy guys , so I'm back !! ( I was quite active a while back but i ' disappeared ' all of a sudden lol ) I was simply caught up with life and gave myself some time to enjoy and relax . Which didn't go as planned cause i almost died ( lmao I'm fine now dw ) and I also failed to be consistent with the workout routine that i started with :( All of this led me to almost going back into a rut but thankfully i managed to go into a new environment for a few days and that refreshed my mind and gave me some motivation to get back on track ! So for anyone who feels stuck , maybe trying out something new can help ! and it's completely okay for you to mess up a bit once in a while ! :D

Such a wonderful message, Welcome back friend 💗💗. This sounds so not meaningful as just a comment on a post but I'm really glad you're okay after that slip up and I hope you get many blessings. So proud you didn't go back in to a rut and the new environment helped you. Trying something new always helps - right now I'm tackling deep cleansing my room which is taking ages but it will be so worth it. We all fall sometimes but getting back up is what matters. Keep going !! ✨✨
Who is your biggest inspiration right now?
I'm curious to know who are some of your guy's inspirations/who you look up to most and why you look up to them. I really look up to Ali Abdaal currently because I admire the amount of influence and community he has been able to build in such a short amount of time as well as his business success and character.

Jesus Christ. I never really had a good relationship with him before- but reading the bible there's such heartfelt advice in it that satiates my soul.💗
Tip for Conscious Consumption 👁️ 📲
How often do you find yourself watching a YouTube video or listening to music or a podcast for seemingly no reason? Almost as if to drown out the moments of silence throughout your day? You are likely avoiding something. If you cannot sit with anything but your thoughts for an extended period, you are likely overstimulated, and avoiding spending time with yourself. Maybe because you do not like what happens when your mind is idle. They say an idle mind is the devil's workshop, but instead of trying to avoid it, why not confront it and cast the devil out? Action Step: In the little pockets of time throughout the day where you have a few minutes of boredom, (on the bus, waiting in line, etc.) Instead of filling those moments with doom-scrolling, or music, simply sit with yourself and just be. By doing this, you are not only working to fix your attention span, but you're also allowing time for your brain to subconsciously solve problems. If this is painful to do, endure it. If it's boring, keep going. Ask yourself: What am I mentally resisting right now? Utilize these little moments as mini meditations. Stay present and enjoy the now instead of wanting the next dopamine hit. Stop avoiding and start healing. P.S. I'll be posting daily insights and tips like this one inside of Apperception Academy. So true. It's crazy as well that when I cut out social media like Tiktok etc. my mind replaced mindless scrolling with just reading ALL the time, which isn't the worst thing to be doing but it's interesting that when I wake up I need to consciously make an effort to sit with my thoughts and then journal rather than consume a book instead. At least it's not a phone but still. The mind makes tremendous effort to avoid thoughts/boredom no matter the stimulant.

@Abraham Diop You know that actually is the most wholesome thing ever - even though so far apart that ye celebrate such an important day for us. :) I love hearing about how like 95% of Americans seem to have Irish ancestry. Always seem inter-linked because I have loads of American relatives also. 🙏🙏 We are united against freedom from Britain too hah. Enjoy the day🎆
Being a people pleaser
So I never had problems making friends or just walking up to someone and having a conversation with them, but recently I realized that whenever someone’s complimenting me I always compliment them back and how I lowkey want people to like me when I’m taking to them which actually might push them away from me so like do you guys have any advice on how not to be a people pleaser?

i think when someone compliments you it's always nice to compliment them back!! in my opinion that's not people pleasing - honestly unless the thank you is very grateful not complimenting back can be seen as cocky. it's normal to want people to like you, but when you become a doormat that's the issue. i suggest feeling secure in yourself, and seeking validation from within rather than outside sources, eg. other people. working on self confidence will help for sure
