Welcome in the MindGym For Swimmers! This is a community to help competitive swimmers get rid of pre-race anxiety. And swim faster than you EVER have!! ❤️ Step #1: Before you do anything else, get your custom 30-day improvement plan here. 💭 Step #2: What's your dream for swimming? Vote below. 🖐 Step #3: Introduce yourself to the community by commenting on this post. You can copy this template if you want: Name Your Age Current Location Your #1 goal this season Your FAVORITE GIF 🚀 Step #4: When you've done Steps 1-3, start your MindGym journey: - Getting started on Skool - Watch The 5 Simple Steps to Overcome Pre-Race Anxiety - Pre-Race Confidence course Want my attention? I volunteer quite some time to deliver you the tools that the sports psychologist of Michael Phelps taught me FOR FREE. When I send you a welcome DM, you'll get my attention if you act like a decent human being and say hi back 😊 🚨 WARNING: If you APPLY (=implement, use, do...) what I teach inside the Pre-Race Confidence course, you will swim faster than ever - especially under pressure. Don't change anything, the system is perfect. But you have to do the work! If you're just consuming videos and don't change your behavior, YOU HAVE LEARNT NOTHING!! 🚨🚨 Even if it feels weird to engage in the community, do it anyways. Get over yourself and start contributing to the growth of the other members here. Fun fact: You know why you suck at the individual race in the morning and then are killin' it in the relay just a couple hours later? It's because you automatically get out of your own way when you make it about others. And the pre-race anxiety that you're struggling with right now is because you're in your own way.

yes your breathing technique really helps me feel calm and focused before my races which results in great pbs. Thankyou so much. I also have a team gala today and I have shared mindgym to some of my other teammates.
Pbs
Amira had a good start in her first "normal" swim competition. Usually she swims lifesaving disciplins. She got a first place in 100m IM: 1,45.01 a third in freestyle 50m: 00,37.34 and a fourth in back 50m : 00,49.07 In two weeks she will swim regionals now. Wonder how that will work out. Amira is 11 years.

Good luck I'm sure she will do amazing 👏
It s raining PBs!!! 😅
Hi some news from. B! She asked me to post her race from today. At first , She didn’t want to do this event as it is not one from her term goals and definitely not her preference stroke. But she showed great improvement in training and decided to go for it. Her objective was 42…. And she smashed it! We are far from the county record but her level of confidence is sky rocking ! Her attitude during the race is undeniable. She is fighting the clock!! Thank you @David Karasek for those incredible and so simple tools that just get her in a nearly professional approach. What she has learned about herself in invaluable. Commitment /Courage/ Capability / Confidence ! And already thinking about a new commitment ! I also heard her thanking her brain! 😂 and then it worked!

⭐️ The Day My Whole Life Changed ⭐️
Sometimes in life you can pinpoint the exact moment when everything changed… This was one of those moments… This picture was taken 12 years ago… It was day 3 of the Olympic trials right after my 200m IM. My dad took the photo because I think my mom was too shaky. It was the best moment of my life… I finally did it… After 17 years of training.. I’m going to the Olympic Games. And let’s be honest… Can you see the relief in my face??? I had just had my best year of training… Mostly because I was given the opportunity to work 1-1 with Dr Jim Bauman who was the sports psychologist of Michael Phelps… #Blessed But I’ll never forget the time when things didn’t work out for me. Feeling good in training, even better during taper… I knew it was MY moment to shine and score a lot of points for my team (University of Virginia)... Even the warm-up was blazing fast and everyone knew I was in shape. And I always felt even better when I shaved… (in America, we let our beards grow for like 3 months before the big meet) But then when I got to the call room, something changed. My heart started racing… My brain decided to propel me into these full HD scenarios of everything that could go wrong… And the worst was, I had no clue how to stop it. And sure enough, the first 100m felt cranky and totally different than an hour ago during warm up… My legs started burning earlier than usual and I knew this is no bueno. When I touched the wall (yes, I came last…), I was devastated. I let down my team, my coaches, my parents and most importantly… Myself. Again. Today, because I took that leap of faith, and because I got help from people who knew more than me (clearly!), I'm humbled to say I have been able to positively impact 100’s of swimmers in Europe… I have had the honor of helping and mentoring competitive swimmers who not only made themselves and their families happy, but also elevated their entire swim club. Lots of people ask me.. hey man.. How did you have such a massive drop in your PB’s in your last year of swimming?

Hey results from my gala I got a 1 second pb on my 50m freestyle and I was shocked cus I only got a 1 second pb only 2 weeks before! I got 1 second pb on my 50m fly and a 3 second pb on my 50m breaststroke . I got pbs also on my 7 other races. I also did my 200m fly which was the race I was mostly anxious about. The breathing technique you taught us really helped my and I got pbs on every race that I did it. I felt so much calmer and felt really relaxed before my 200 fly. Right now I am waiting with my family for our flight which is delayed because we just had a holiday in Portugal. I hope you have an amazing birthday if I don't make it to the zoom call.
Great news!
Wanted to share some good news, Viktoria won solver for 50 m butterfly and 200 m medley. However, she knows that was luck as she did not beat her PBs. And her coach told her, "Viktoria you know you could swim faster". She still struggles sometimes with competition anxiety and she started to use the breathing technique. She struggles with using it in her daily life in order to become her routine and work unconsciously. As David said, something to work and get in your mind it needs to repeat many times until become routine. We, as parent support you and would do everything you manage in whatever you do, but this also depends on you, to do your part. Wish you dreams come true. 🙏

I am 12 years old and I have been doing competitive swimming for 3 years. My favourite stroke is fly and my least is breaststroke.
