Racing Mindset
Recently I had a meet and with David's breathing technique I didn't have pre race anxiety anymore and felt confident and calm before the race especially before the 200 fly and minused 3 seconds from it and had 2 races before as well. I recommend the breathing technique to swimmers that go through pre race anxiety and being scared before a race because it really helped a lot.

Glad it worked for you! My daughter also uses it and says it is really helpfull. She also startet to use it in school before tests and it helps staying focused .
resume of today's session
Hi, today I want to say that today, training I hit 28 seconds in a 50 freestyle, I am very happy, because I have 33 in competition and that means I am improving, because sometimes, I am so tired of trainig that I think I am not improving, but this things make me feel more confident.

The 7 Most Damaging Tips You Can Give Your Child Before A Race
Here's what I'd do if I wanted my girl to suffer from bad pre-race anxiety: Tell her... 1) That she's very, VERY talented. And do it often! 2) To relax and just have fun! (oh yeeee, we've all been there. Backfires!) 3) You got this, you can PB! 4) I KNOW you can win this thing! 5) Just do what you practiced. 6) You're better than the others. 7) BONUS: I compare her to other age-groupers all day long (I see you parents 🙈) Got any other terrible advice? Drop them below in the comment section.

@Mags Pellow oh yes, I know all these sayings! But since I read the posts about what we shouldn't do I really try to not say it. And if it happens my daughter now tells me: you know what David said? Don't do it Mom...😅 But it is still Hard, it's always on my tongue.

Pbs
Amira had a good start in her first "normal" swim competition. Usually she swims lifesaving disciplins. She got a first place in 100m IM: 1,45.01 a third in freestyle 50m: 00,37.34 and a fourth in back 50m : 00,49.07 In two weeks she will swim regionals now. Wonder how that will work out. Amira is 11 years.
