Seeking Input: Naming Our Paid Group & Program
Hey fellow Skool group owners! I’m working on launching the main program under our Security Growth Hub initiative, which is focused on helping security business owners grow and scale their operations. This comprehensive 6-month program offers everything they need to fast-track their business growth. We’re currently using our free Skool group "Security Growth Hub" as a lead magnet and to provide upfront, actionable value, etc... ...But now, we’re gearing up to launch a paid group that will deliver the full experience, and I’d like to name the paid group and the main program the same or at least similar. I’m looking for feedback on potential names. Here are a few options we’re considering. Please vote in the poll, and I’d love to hear any other suggestions you might have in the comments! Your insights would be really valuable. Thanks in advance for your input!

@Sarah Hankins I felt the same about "pro". Too many times subscribing to some Pro service or product only to get less than pro value, in the past I guess. lol
🗣I WANT MY MONEY BACK RIGHT NOW! [Yikes]🗣
Now I'm not one to be called a liar....because I don't lie. I didn't build a business that has been runing successfully for 12 years on lies... With that said how would you respond to this DM? I thought about just refunding the customer which I probably should. If they are going to come off the rip like this it's not worth my time...all that's going to come of this customer is problems in my experience. The thing about me is I choose to work with you and you don't choose to work with me. Once you figure that out it's another level in business. On the other hand I may give the benefit of the doubt as what they did was click an old email which indeed did include all that. This email was probably a month ago when we luanched. 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣

@Will Murphy you can use a trackable link that points to your group if you like. :-) that way you can avoid this on the future.

@Sofia Tahanova There is nothing wrong with a good operator. Every builder needs a good operator 2IC or partner.

@Martina Torres it sure does. It limits progress more than one would expect…
My rocky road to recording better quality YouTube videos (and Zoom calls)
When I signed up as a Udemy Instructor five years ago, I needed to start recording tutorials for my content. They were awful! So bit by bit, I have slowly improved my video setup. I am certainly not a professional, and this setup is not perfect. But it is low-cost (I suppose this is relative), and by connecting my iPhone directly to Descript and my Macbook using Continuity Camera, I can start recording within 20 seconds of entering my cabin. This is my priority. I want to record more training content with 'good' video and audio quality instead of fewer videos with 'superb' quality. Members of a couple of Skool communities have asked me what setup I use, so I thought it was a good time to create a video covering this, even if it is a little outside of my niche/skillset. I hope this video can help you if you are going through a similar journey. Likewise, if you are a YouTube or video pro, it would be great to hear your tips on how I can develop it further without spending a small fortune on gear. Just out of interest, what approach do you take with video calls? I have added a poll below! Cheers, Elwyn

My video setup is still MVP but always looking to improve in all areas. I would’ve clicked “Not top priority but definitely on the list” if that were an option. :)
How to Leverage Your Organic Following in Advertising 💰
Hey Skool fam! 👋 I see many big creators with organic reach join Skool and hesitate to start running ads. They're nervous about spending money and setting up their accounts. But I've seen creators with tens of thousands, and even millions of followers, hesitate to start running them. What they don't realize is that ads will work fast for them. WHY? Their audience recognizes and trusts them. Whether they have 50,000 followers or a million, a solid email list, they’ve got a huge advantage. Fame significantly boosts ads! HERE’S WHAT TO DO The setup is forgiving, and the ads don’t need to be exceptional. You can use the best-performing organic content to start. It works. I see it all the time. Don’t obsess over split testing Video Sales Letters (VSLs) or writing scripts in the beginning. Promote your top five organic videos as ads to reach the 90% of your social media audience that hasn’t heard about your offer. OR Extract the hook from a successful video and rework the body. The first 5 seconds are crucial for stopping the scroll. Sort your data by the highest watch-through rates and use those as your ad hooks. Make sure you have the rights to use them. You can’t use copyrighted content or other people’s personalities without permission. Put your offer in the primary text and include a clear call to action button. It will convert if your page is well-organized and people recognize you. Optimization happens after exhausting your existing audience. There is plenty of low-hanging fruit. FEARS Larger creators fear running ads because they may set up the ad account wrong and waste money, potentially thousands of dollars needed before the ads work. If you’re active on IG, Meta has data about you, so you’ll see results within $100 of starting your ads. If not, turn it off. The biggest risk isn’t losing thousands of dollars, but spending $100 to gain valuable data about the best organic hooks for Facebook ads. Even without conversions, you’ll learn which approach worked best.

“You can use the best-performing organic content to start. It works. I see it all the time.” Absolutely!! A great approach to get off on that right foot. Not only can you, I highly recommend you do. Go high quantity on organic content and use the content that performs the best for advertising! Then iterate iterate iterate.
