They Understand Modern Swimming...
Turns & underwaters are hard, I get it. If it was easy, everybody would do it. And that's exactly where you can gain a HUGE advantage over your competitors. Most swimmers think they'll get good at turns & underwaters eventually. Yet, they take no action to actually improve them on a daily basis. Did you know that the team at the University Of Virginia drilled new holes into their pool so they could train in short-course meters instead of short-course yards? Success isn't accidental. Kate Douglass, Gretchen Walsh and Alex Walsh are proof. Here's Noe Ponti doing turns & underwaters. What are you doing in practice to speed up your fly kicks and stay under water for longer?? Share your tips in the comments for others to get inspired please!!

Exactly David!! At the beginning of this week I have set a challenge for my son that every training session he must aim to do at least 4 fly kick after each turn. He used to push away strong but there was no fly kick so he transitioned to the stroke well before passing the flags. When he does it properly he comes up a full body length after the flags. It makes a massive difference! Next weekend he will attend another gala so I am hoping he will put this into action there too 🀞
Santa Splash PBs
I am late posting this but my son Martin attended his first ever long course gala a couple of weekends ago and he totally smashed it in my opinion. He got some decent times in all 6 events and as a bonus he came away with a πŸ₯ˆ in 50m backstroke and a πŸ₯‰ 100m breaststroke. He just missed out on another silver in 50m breaststroke by 0.71 seconds (he was well annoyed as you can imagine 😬) I am very proud of him, his attitude during the day was excellent and he looked super confident. He said he managed to calm his nerves with breathing technique and visualisation πŸ‘

The breathing that leads to results
Hi, just wanted to share with you my son’s latest progres, within 1 month he improved his results by 4s freestyle and 2s20 backstroke. Although pre-race anxious he focused on breathing following David’s instructions and it worked!

Congrats to Maria!! She's had a couple 1-1 sessions with me but doing EXACTLY what I'm teaching you in the MindGym FREE. Crazy thing is that she hasn't PB'ed for 2 years. Used to be super fast when she was young... Then plateaued for 2 years. Now finally the breakthrough. The numbers don't lie baby!! πŸš€πŸ˜ Let's goooo!! PS: Here are more of our results in the last couple of weeks: https://www.skool.com/mindgym?c=3367e4ea626e47479160f805e7670098&s=newest-cm&fl=

Since we got a lot of IM-ers in the MindGym I thought I share another one from the summer. This was a pressure cooker!!! @Gartmann Gartmann had trained well all season but this summer was going to be different: He qualified for the 2024 Summer European Championships in Belgrade. That was a big breakthrough for Gian-Luca Gartmann. And at the same time... It seemed scary. As the big race got closer, doubt and insecurity crept in... We mostly worked on his breathing, not freaking out during taper when something didn't go as planned, and visualization. He then went to Belgrade and crushed it at his first Euro Champs. So happy for him and he continues to perform great. We'll hopefully see him on TV at the World Champs in Singapore in the summer 2025 πŸš€πŸ˜ƒ Here are all his PBs: https://www.swimrankings.net/index.php?page=athleteDetail&athleteId=4813079 And that's his personal website if you're curious: https://www.gianlucagartmann.com/
