For so long I felt like this with my sleep!
I know I cannot be the only one to relate to this….and I felt this way for a long time. Sometimes I find myself drifting into old habits - yes this can happen and to some degree we should expect it. We are humans not robots. But - I used to push so hard during the day that by night time when I was supposed to be hitting the sack I was up sitting alone. I was either enjoying the quiet without chaos or I was watching Netflix. Either way I was pushing past my sleep window and every night I did this I paid for it. More importantly though I recognized why I was doing it and that was because I thought I “deserved” this time alone. How did I break it? I gave myself more space and peace during light hours. It really wasn’t about night time or sleep it was about me never slowing down during the day to breath. I changed that, got my breaks during the day and didn’t need night time to “pay me back” for anything. Ive talked to so many who can relate to this especially with school aged kids. Who’s done this? How did you break it?

@Greg Clement it’s true but also evidence that the world we life in rewards “more!” Doing more = being seen more as someone who cares more which is highly untrue. It’s not about being more busy it’s about being more productive. A hard shift for most but especially women I’ve found due to the way we are wired lol

@Tammy Merk curious if you were ever worked on 3rd shift, at night?
Mid night wake up
I struggle with sleeping through the night. I go to sleep about 10 with the intention of getting up at 6:30 but I always wake up between 1 and 2 and can't get back to sleep for at least an hour or 2. I know the main problem is I get on my phone. Maybe tonight I'll try a podcast instead of a game.

Phones are a huge disruptor to REM sleep too as everyone mentioned above

@René Castle so Welcome 🤗
Carb fasting
In theory this sounds like a great idea... But what if someone is Vegan or WFPB?

Our Week 5 Module: FLOW is now open
Hey gang, the latest training video is now open, and this one is all about how our spaces can impact our mood, mental health and physical health. A lot of people overlook their environment when they think about health, but it matters HUGELY. Head over to the classroom section of Skool to check it out, and let me know which space you're going to transform this week!

This is so important and so often overlooked! We’ve cleaned out the garage and emptied now countless bins - tossed, donated, kept and reorganized. We’ve cleaned out 4 closets and donated even more bags to the veterans society (I love working with them and also appreciate that they do not resell their donated items to the veterans). It feels so good to clear the clutter. Whenever my brain is on overload I look around and 9/10 my physical space is too.
