Anxiety, performance and visualization
Anxiety many times prior to an event has made many of us play bellow our ability. Uncertainty can cause athletes to mentally envision mistakes and fear the worst prior to a competition, which leads to lack of trust in your skills. Fearing the worst, becomes negative images that will ruin performance every time. The solution could be visualization. Experience the event before it happens. This could help being ready mentaly. By visualizing yourself there succeeding, you become mentaly ready because know the event is already known. As i am competing in two weeks, I want to make a habbit of visualizing my self getting there, weighing in, having my warm up, to the point of hitting the numbers i want to achieve. Imagine my self being in a good mood and following my routine. The visualization will provide a plan. So everything will be ready when the time comes. My mind will not freak out by the unknown. Let me hear your thoughts and your experiences. Do you have some kind of routine to mentaly prepare you? ☺️

"we need to teach our brain what it is we want to see and allow in" : that is my general goal! To reach a point where i no longer limit my potential by fearing the outcome! Thanks for the response! :)
B12 For Males, B Complex for Females
B12 is crucial for energy production, red blood cell formation, neurological health, DNA synthesis, and mood regulation. For myself and the athletes i coach, as they require high energy levels and efficient recovery, i found B12 injections for males and B complex for females beneficial for increased energy, improved endurance, faster recovery, reduced fatigue, and better cognitive function, reduce stress, and enhance mental clarity, further contributing to athletic performance and well-being. I summrized the below from a personal experience and what studies support: - B12 is essential for energy production, red blood cell formation, neurological health, and DNA synthesis. - B12 deficiency can cause fatigue, anemia, cognitive issues, and other health problems. - thletes use B12 injections for increased energy, improved endurance, faster recovery, reduced fatigue, and better cognitive function. - B12 may also support immune function, reduce stress, and enhance mental clarity.

@Hassan Al Aradi Do you think B12 supplementation in an injectable form would help with fatigue and energy levels before meet day? (Powerlifting) When would it be the right time to implement it?

@Macka Chen i always prefered to walk outside at the park and managing 8000- 10000 steps aprox. Walking on the treadmill is the easy way to get it done , but switching methods helps psychologicaly. In some point i got bored of it and i started bike at the gym, i saw it as a challenge to hit a certain number of kilometres every time in 20 minutes so that kept me going.
Training mindset and music
I'm curious to hear everyone's perspective on their mindset when they train. Some feel zen, some feel like they're going to war, some channel their energy and frustrations into the workout.. what's yours? And does it depend on your mood, situation etc What music do you mostly listen to when you train? Things like heavy metal, the gyms music, dance, or maybe you're just not fussed? Let's hear it!

We’ll definitely depends on the mood I have , or the one I want to create. When I started powerlifting I used to listen to aggressive music to make me get in the mood , to up my self for the lifts . Now I don’t need it that much and I prefer to listen to hip hop or house to keep me uplifted. But PRs are always made with one specific song most of the time .

@Arturo Lajada an empty gym is always a blessing 😝
What are your gym pet peeves?
This is definitely an interesting topic I thought would be great to discuss 😁 What grinds your gears and what do you do to overcome or move past it?

Not wearing deodorant haha, I live in a country where summers gets really hot and some people make it impossible to workout near them 😬 The other thing is when someone doesn’t want to share the equipment.
