Holiday eating
Any advice on eating while on a holiday. I’m going on a cruise for 10 days so all meals are going to be variable. I’m a bit scared that I’ll switch straight back to my old unhealthy, binge type eating habits. I’ve been cutting for a bout a year with a few controlled/tracked maintenance weeks. I’ve set my calories to maintenance levels for the time, but that’s only 1800. My aim is the get my steps in and to eat enough protein.

Caffeine - How do you get your fix?
This topic came up on a group chat and I thought it would be a good topic to discuss here too. Rarely do I encounter anyone who is completely off any form or some sort of caffeine. Whether that be a sugar free Monster Energy, Red Bull, instant coffee or your morning coffee run. Or maybe you just get your hit from a preworkout? How do you enjoy/take your caffeine?

Yeah I drink long black with a dash or oat milk in the mornings. Sometimes I have a Red Bull or monster no sugar white and only have preworkout if doing an early morning gym.
Air Fryers - Yay or Nay?
At my house I have solar panels and I mostly use electricial appliances. My main appliances are slow/pressure cooker, oven, gas top stove and good ol trusty microwave. I do have a charcoal kettle bbq and I'm soon to eventually going to use my outdoor grill bbq as well come spring and summer time. Many have adapted to using an air fryer now and I'm curious to hear if you do have an air fryer is it worth it compared to other appliances when it comes to meal prep for efficiency and quality? Keen to hear your thoughts and experiences!

I have the ninja air fryer but only the kids use it. Although it does do great potatoes.
Go to fast food recommendations
Of course the ideal is meal prep, but sometimes life gets in the way. Personally, in more than one occasion I’ve forgotten to bring my lunch to work. I usually order either Chipotle or Chick-fil-A. What’s your folk’s go to? And what do you usually order?

Yeah I do pre-made meals from supermarket. Protein bar or protein shake, I get the tetra packs from Costco, I keep in the car for emergencies and will get me through until I can get home. Cooked chicken/ham from Supermarket with a salad box. I did have a mcchicken burger the other day that still fit in my macros, I scraped off the mayo. In Australia we have bbq chicken or nandos. If we eat out I get steak.

How much cardio is in everyone’s plans? I do 10k-13k steps a day, so I usually do a 4.5km walk with the dog. I do one metafit class a week which is a 25 min high intensity class. It changes exercises every 20 seconds and keeps me entertained.
