Oil
Hi Nagina! When I make a salad, can I use oil and vinegar ? What kind of oil? Also, making mixed vegetables in the oven, I am not crazy using cooking spray, can I use some oil? Thank you .

yes you can use oil and vinegar, I recommend swapping the oil and vinegar ratios for most salad dressing recipes, so do 2x vinegar/1x oil (recipes are usually the opposite). Flaxseed oil is really good with healthy omega-3s, you can use olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil. You can use some drizzles of oil on your veggies if you like, it's fine, just don't soak them in oil or pour a lot!
Snack
How much protein, how much fat and carbs or veggies or fruits in a snack and when do we eat the snack? Can we skip the snack?

You can skip the snack if you're not hungry. It's good to have a healthy fat or a protein, veggies are always great. If you want to have a fruit or a carb, make sure you don't have it alone, pair it with a protein or a fat. So, you could have 1/2 apple with nut butter, cucumber and nuts, carrots with hummus or better celery and carrots with hummus, date and peanut butter, tangerine and cheese stick, etc. @Katherine Riddell
Such Gratitude
Nagina, I wanted to thank you so much for this summit. I realize Iโ€™ve been under eating and the ratios of fat and protein for meals is such a great measure! Iโ€™ve been focusing on upping my protein and making sure I get carbs at lunch (and not dinner) this week. I already feel more full through the day. And Iโ€™m geeked out over how the order we eat out foods affects our sugar spikes. I feel empowered again with my AIP lifestyle! Thank you for being so generous with the science and the useful tools!

Thank you for your kind words!!
Dairy in coffee?
Itโ€™s been mentioned that in addition to adding cinnamon to coffee you can have a splash of nut milk rather than dairy milk. Can I have a splash of dairy milk if it is lactose free? The splash of milk that I have has less than 2g of sugar. Thanks!

Yes that is fine if itโ€™s lactose free and since itโ€™s low in sugar (<3g)
