Favorite open class Mr Olympia
Who is your favorite open class Mr Olympia? Tuff one Huh? There are so many good ones. Me personally I have to go with one from the old school. Frank Zane, he was the first to really bring the vacuum pose to the stage and man he Rocked it. 17” arms on the guy nothing to spectacular in that department but he was the first to display proportions. He beat Arnold’s in the Mr America contest one year and Arnold was so pissed that someone had stole his spot light that he made the comment I lost to a chicken with 17” arms. Lol oh Arnold let’s not be a soar loser now 🦏

Ik the content has been all over the place recently but I think I figured out how I want the new videos to go. The plan is to focus less on the workout and a lot more on my life out side of the gym. I think this will make the videos more relatable and a lot less repetitive.

I dont know what to do rn - i like the idea of ppl but I kinda like having arms on one day, I have liked the arnold split but doing chest and back on one day is a lot and then my triceps and biceps being a little fatigued the next day - and bro split being a little to spacey - I would do bro split if I could 100% go to the gym 7 days a week which I think I can but I dont know

Dumbbells, Barbells, Machines or Cables?
Dumbbells, Barbells, Machines or Cables? Which one do you prefer? I think Dorian Yates said it best. No one is better than the other. They all serve a purpose. I am a bit old school and if I had to pick one I would go with dumbbells. You can get a full body workout using dumbbells. Thankfully we live in a free country and have the ability to choose what we want. Never restrict yourself to one type of exercise. Always be willing to step outside of your comfort zone and try new things. You just might be surprised that you found something else you like. Trust me I’m a creature of habit and tend to gravitate toward things that make me comfortable too but it’s always good to explore and try new things. Do it for the gains. Incorporate an even amount of all three types of exercises into your regimen for maximum gains 🦏

High protein diet for building MASS?
Aiden what is your opinion on a high protein diet for building Mass? A lot of the old school guys will swear by it. They said 1 1/2 grams of protein per pound of body weight for sufficient growth.

Just wanted to write some stuff that I usually bring to the gym; 1. shaker cup (usually has pre workout or post workout) 2. lifting belt (usually for leg days) 3. lifting straps (best for back day) 4. chalk (good alternative to straps) 5. headphones (or airpods) 6. my pre workout i keep in there (I use ryse godzilla, wrecked mango and citris, and almost every bucked up flavor 7. sometimes a change of shirt, this is super helpful if yall are hitting a tough back day or chest day and are super sweaty. I recommend doing this if you have problems with back acne.

Supplements / pre
Just wanted to inform beginners about some supplements and which are beneficial, and which are not. 1. Pre workout I recommend pre workout on a day that's earlier then 5 pm and you are tired - if its 6 am and your exhausted I would recommend doing nothing over 300 mg. At 16, I don't take over 200 mg. You can also take non stim but those are a rip off in my opinion. You can always buy caffeine pills (like Aiden) and beta alanine. there is a lot of bad stuff in per workout that is sometimes not worth it. some brands i do recommend are bucked up and ryse. 2.creatine creatine is MANDATORY. creatine is pretty cheap if you buy in bulk, its super helpful and you are not maxing out your physique without it. There are no true side effects, just make sure you're drinking a lot of water because it can cause kidney damage if you're taking 10g+ and not drinking a lot of water. 3.ashwaganda I took ashwagandha for almost a year and it really helped my physique. At the time I didn't know you were supposed to take it for a month so you can have withdrawals. I recommend. 4.DHEA and Tribulus I have never taken these, but I know Aiden does and he has spoken super highly of them. I would personally not take them unless i had 3 years under my belt. and it may have an effect if you take them at a younger age like pre workout (i am not 100% sure of this, this is all of what I think) 5.Turkesterone (Turk builder) I would NOT recommend this; i took this for a couple weeks and i felt sick the whole time, I don't think this is a coincidence because the day I stopped I felt better, this increased my strength a little bit, but I do not think it's worth it. It seemed to be a placebo and promoted by youtubers who are looking to promote a supplement for money. 6: protein snacks (like quest) chips, protein bars, protein powder I personally believe that protein bars are a waste. protein bars usually don't taste good and 20ish grams of protein isn't even that much. A week crafted protein shake could surpass 80g of protein and fill you up as much as a bar. I like the protein chips, but I also think they're somewhat a scam. If you eat any type of meat or peanut butter or any good quality protein, it will always be more beneficial than a bar. I would rather have 3 good meals with 100g+ each then have consistent bars and protein "snacks" this may be an L take but I just don't think bars and the cookies and chips are that good. If you like the taste, then definitely get them but if you don't slightly like the taste it's just not worth it. Protein powder is really good, but I would NOT recommend the mass gainer ones. They are a huge scam; the scoops are so big that you run out of a whole can of it in less than a week if you follow the serving size. Protein isolate is a lot better. Some brands I would recommend are optimum nutrition, ryse and iso100 from dynamize.

Splits (to choose from)
One question i used to struggle with was splits - heres a list of some of the good splits that you can choose from. First of all, there is no 'optimal' split - all splits that target the muscle group 2ish times a week is usually good but there are some preferable ones to choose from. That does not mean you should do some wierd split like chest and hamstrings, calfs and triceps, and stuff like that. First Split 1. PPL (push pull legs) Push pull legs consists of doing a chest tricep and shoulder day, a back and bicep day, and then a leg day. This is a very popular split and its great if you dont have as many workouts because if you have a large volume you may be in the gym for 2 hours. If you use this split I would recommend this Second Split 2. Arnold Split (chest and back, SARMS, legs) I highly recommend this split, the only problem it comes with is training 2 big muscles on the first day and then having your biceps and triceps slightly fatigued for the next day. Also, overhead press after a chest day may be difficult. I am currently doing this split because I like doing arms on the same day. This split is my favorite because i feel like i can work on my arms more because their lacking. Third Split 3.Bro split i already listed a lot of the workouts I do and if you want to follow them go ahead, I am not going to write them out anymore because if you want them then just follow the order of the split and add the workouts in to fit each muscle group. Bro split is really good for more advanced lifters who are really spending time on each set and spending an hour doing like 5 workouts. You definitely get more focus on the muscle group but if you do a 7 day routine like Aiden and sam sulek, there will be one muscle group that you will hit once a week. This split is very good but if you go to the gym less then 6 days a week I would do either arnold or ppl. PPL split one barbell bench press 3x8 incline dumbbell press 3x10 chest flies 3x12 dips 3x8 skull crushers 3x8
