Not only is Katie a teacher herself, but she is constantly thinking through—what do my kids need to succeed at school? On Sunday, she noticed some paperwork on the counter that needed to go back to my daughter's teacher for the upcoming week. She tucked everything in their school folders, then washed out water bottles, and re-packed both kids' backpacks. Even though it was Labor Day and a day off "work" for most of us, she still carried the mental load for getting everyone back in shape for school on Tuesday.
