Day 26
With Halloween around the corner my wife holds the mental load of nailing down Halloween events for the family. She will need to find out what my 8 year old and 6 year old would like to be for Halloween, which is a challenge in it self and then needs to search the Internet for what they want without spending an arm and a leg. Most of the time we just need to buy a couple of options for them to see what they like. Continuing on with Halloween she also needs to figure out with our busy schedule when and where we are going to go to the pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins. She also sets up another pumpkin pick that is at our professional baseball teams field that we like to do every year and finding the time to be able to do this. I am not even getting into the fact that she also leads the charge on fall and Halloween decor for the house. I just don't know how she thinks of all these things and keeps them straight.

Day 19 - doctor appointments
My wife holds the mental load of finding all the medical needs of our kids. I have 2 boys that have ADHD and my youngest (6 years old) is on top of this he is struggling with other behavioral issues. So my wife spends a lot of time trying find places that take our insurance, getting referrals from our pediatrician. We are having him see a occupational therapist, which my wife called around to find. She is also getting him into see a child psychiatrist which when talking to her about it it is really hard to get into. She also is the one who takes him to all of these appointments and researches techniques and strategies on diagnosis it her self to figure out questions and the right path for him medically to get him into. She also is a working mom that has a job that is demanding on her.

Day 8- pants
With the weather changing my wife has to check on all the kids pants to see how many fit and figure out how many we need to get. Once she figures that out it is time to shop around to find who has deals on pants. Both of my boys have totally different builts that makes it challenging.

Day 7 - Summer Camp
My wife holds the mental load of finding the best fitting summer camps for my young kids. On top of that she also has to figure out what vacations we are taking the following summer so we are not paying for weeks they are not there. This has to be done by Christmas. Once we have this in place it falls on her to drop off and pick up. My kids are a lot and that puts her in the car with them close to an hour and half a day. That is on top of her busy job she has to get to.
