Am I HIPAA Compliant? I have a registered business India. I have a friend in the US who can refer me Medical Companies in the US. Am I compliant to work with them?

Context:

I have a business registered in India.

I have a friend who works with medical companies. He is wanting to move some of his clients to GHL with me.

Question: The question he has is this. Though the GHL data resides within the HIPAA compliant servers in the US(after purchasing the HIPAA compliance), an Indian company is still involved in owning and managing data which is HIPAA covered.

He wants to know if this model is still HIPAA compliant.

Are there any people in her who work with medical business in the US with a business registered outside of the US?
