Monday Motivation
Good morning! I took today's motivation from Alex Hormozi with Acquisition.com. He's a motivational marketer extraordinaire, entrepreneur and philanthropist. "A young samurai once asked a Zen master how long it would take to achieve mastery. "10 years," the master said. The samurai, eager to speed things up, asked "What if I work twice as hard and practice day and night?" The master replied: "20 years." When the confused samurai asked why it would take longer, the master explained: "If you have one eye fixed on your destination, you only have one eye left to find your way." In other words, as Warren Buffet so eloquently stated, "you can't have a baby in a month by getting 9 girls pregnant!" Why does that work, though??? With speed, you skip the fundamentals. You don’t build systems. You chase shortcuts. But success isn’t built on rushing. It’s built on consistent action, strong foundations, and the patience to embrace the process. Mastery isn’t about getting there first; it’s about getting there right. This week and next, slow down, focus on the next right step, and trust that the journey will take you exactly where you’re meant to be. You’ve got this! 💪

New Year-Marketing
Tonight I'm working on my calendars that I will be mailing out at the beginning of the year. I choose to do this so that I don't get lost in the holiday shuffle. Anyone else send out cards at the beginning of the year?

@Jennifer Cooper I"m not sure that I"m on top of it, but we can go with that! It's more like I'm not on top of it and need to get through Christmas first! Lol
🎄 The Art of the Holiday Follow-Up 🎄
Let’s be real—following up with clients or prospects can feel a little awkward sometimes, right? If you’re like me, it’s not always easy to know what to say or when to reach out. But here’s the good news: the holiday season is the perfect time to reconnect! A warm, heartfelt holiday greeting is an easy, non-salesy way to get back in touch with people you haven’t spoken to in a while. Something as simple as: ✨ “Hi [Name], I hope this message finds you well! I just wanted to send you some holiday cheer and wish you a wonderful season ahead. Let me know if there’s anything I can help you with as we wrap up the year!” This little gesture shows you care, keeps the door open, and might just spark a conversation that leads to a stronger connection—or even a future business opportunity! So grab a cup of cocoa, write those messages, and spread a little cheer. You’ve got this! What’s your go-to way to follow up during the holidays? Share below! ⬇️

Exactly what I am doing, only with a new year's message!
Inner Critic
As it is slowing down during the holiday my inner voice of doom rears its ugly head. “You wont have a successful month and January will be just as bad” my stomach was in knots last night thinking about all I could have done this year and how much more I need to learn and grow to become “successful”. There is this overwhelming feeling of not knowing what to focus on next because there are so many paths and areas to grow. The notary profession oftentimes feels like a hydra with many heads and it’s difficult to know what to focus on. This morning I am a bit more clear headed and wanted to reach out to you all to share this vulnerability I think we all have. Fear of failure and our inner saboteur feeling overwhelmed by information. I know I can’t be the only one. How do you not feel overwhelmed by the stress of building a business learning new skills and keeping your financial head above water? How do you keep your inner critic at bay? I try and look at my notary career as a marathon not a dash. And to give myself grace.

@Nikola Nichols you are so not alone on this one! We all have that inner critic (I haven't named mine). I attended @Jennifer Cooper 's SMART Goal Setting Workshop the other day and it was quite insightful. I am working my way through mapping out my goals for 2025. May I suggest going back through your appointments from last year and see what type was the most lucrative for you. Set some goals to increase those types of appointment and then also set some goal to focus on a new area. Hope this helps!
