Happy Holidays!
Dear Marketing4Notaries Family, As the holiday season wraps us in its warmth, I want to take a moment to share my gratitude for each and every one of you. This year has been one of change and growth, and your decision to join me on this new journey means more to me than words can express. Building this community together has been a reminder of the power of connection, support, and shared goals. Your trust and enthusiasm inspire me every day to continue creating resources, opportunities, and strategies to help you build the business you’ve always dreamed of. I am off for the balance of the year, so you won't be hearing from me too much until January. This is my family time and I cherish it!! The holidays are a time for reflection, and as I look back on this year, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the friendships, successes, and milestones we’ve shared. I truly believe that 2025 will be a year of incredible growth and opportunity for us all, and I’m so excited to continue this journey with you. Wishing you and your loved ones a holiday season filled with joy, love, and rest. May the new year bring you success, happiness, and everything you’ve worked so hard for. Thank you for being part of this community and for allowing me to be part of your story. With love and heartfelt gratitude, Jen

Inner Critic
As it is slowing down during the holiday my inner voice of doom rears its ugly head. “You wont have a successful month and January will be just as bad” my stomach was in knots last night thinking about all I could have done this year and how much more I need to learn and grow to become “successful”. There is this overwhelming feeling of not knowing what to focus on next because there are so many paths and areas to grow. The notary profession oftentimes feels like a hydra with many heads and it’s difficult to know what to focus on. This morning I am a bit more clear headed and wanted to reach out to you all to share this vulnerability I think we all have. Fear of failure and our inner saboteur feeling overwhelmed by information. I know I can’t be the only one. How do you not feel overwhelmed by the stress of building a business learning new skills and keeping your financial head above water? How do you keep your inner critic at bay? I try and look at my notary career as a marathon not a dash. And to give myself grace.

Thank you all for your heartfelt feedback. The fear is the bane of an entrepreneur but one we must make peace with. It’s very comforting to know that I have found a community of wonderful women all on the same journey as myself. 💛 sometimes we have to be pushed through the tough parts and other times we are the ones pulling someone through theirs.
BBB
I recently signed up with the BBB. Out of curiosity, for those of you who are accredited with them do you feel it helps with your marketing?

I used to have BBB accreditation with another family business. We quickly realized that it wasn’t worth it. It seemed only people who sought unsubstantiated refunds would contact them and the BBB just acted as a middleman to force our hand to compensate regardless if the customer was in the wrong or not. I think it’s not a very effective way of building trust between consumers and small businesses. Google reviews seems to be the better solution.

Food Poisoned
I've been sick this month more than I have been the last 2 years, how about ya'll? Well it's basically Friday and I'm finally feeling back to normal, this is not AT all how I wanted my week to go, it was just Sunday and I was telling a friend all my plans for Monday and this week. I Woke up at 3am Monday sick like I have never been before, and was pet sitting for 3 dogs, a pig, and 2 rabbits, hate to say the rabbits did not get any food that first day. I'm learning to be more grateful for the time I do have, the health I do have, and the ability to make my own schedule. I'm not supper successful and I barely make ends meet but I did not have the added weight of calling into work or loosing my job because I was sick. I told myself that first year I was in business that, "I have not fired myself yet" so I still have a job I can do tomorrow or next week. You see I've always quit on myself and that is NOT something I'm willing to do any more. So suited up and showed up today, I did my follow up emails and 3 site inspections and even did the gutters for the rain storm I did not know was coming. Life is good, and I'll be staying away from chicken strips and caesar salad for A WHILE! - Thanks for letting me treat this like a journal, sometimes I feel like I'm finally starting to be a grown up.

@Jen Neitzel wow that seems like a tsunami of health issues you had to deal with. I’m glad you got it under control.
Pop-Ins - Here We Go
Today, I will be attending a meet and greet with at a senior living center as they introduce the new Director of Sales and Marketing. This is my first time going to an event like this in the area! There is an opportunity for me to directors from other senior living centers in the area. Any words of wisdom for questions to ask? Should I give people my Pop-In or just a business card? Thanks for all help in advance!
