Day 3 & 4
Today was a busy day. My guests @Gi Di and her husband left today after spending two beautiful weeks here! I was busy cleaning etc and could have made every excuse in the book to skip my workout!! But after supper, when it's usually my bedtime, I laid down my mat in my living room and did a 20 minute peloton core strength class. It was a benchmark class featuring planks, hollow body holds, and Russian twists. The beauty of benchmark classes is that you give your best effort, then, with consistent workouts, retake the class later to see your progress in reps and time! I highly recommend taking a benchmark class to see where you are at! Uugggg..travel days are hard on me...a lot of sitting, waiting and not a lot of fresh air in long lines and boarder crossings... Then, stinky oil burning trucks and hot sun melting every pour in my body.. I run/ walk with my 20 pound pack...BUT, get stuck in thousands of people pushing, shoving. I did a bad thing and walked to a closer line. Closer to the stiffeling hot air gate, where the hot air inside is worse than out doors..no exercise today, but felt like I lost a ton, just sweating, and because I didn't eat..It was a difficult day and I still feel bad leaving the 10,000 people behind in the hot sun. Yogurt and peanut butter now..uggg Tomorrow, another day to run....Free, Costa Rica side..

Today, I started exercising in my little fitness area in a hostel in Costa Rica. Ran and walked to catch a bus..lol Swam and splashed in huge waves. Survived...Took 6 flights of stairs 20 times to slide down HUGE WATER SLIDES...(survived that) Had some fruit and ran for another bus..exhausted and enjoying peanut and yogurt..Super fun day.

I will introduce to you My Mother @Viv Bignell She is 67, living her best life with me in Nicaragua during the winter helping the local kids here. I can thank my Mom for my fantastic work ethic, my youthful looks and my fit body! My Mom raised us unconventionally, without a TV for our early years, she prioritized movement, despite me absolutely despising her on early Saturday mornings, making my siblings and I pile wood in the summer for our old school house, which was primarily heated with a wood stove. I hated that we only had her homemade granola and English muffins for breakfast, and not captain crunch like every other kid in my class. I also hated that she gave out apples and pencils at halloween, and never let us eat candy! HOWEVER!!! I am very grateful for that now. She has molded us into strong, independent women and men. And I am also thankful that she maintains her youth in her late 60's. I guess it's never too late to be thankful. SO thank you MOM! It's my goal to encourage her start lifting some weights! Day 2!
I just finished a 15minute core strength class on my Peloton APP, which is my daily go to app! The app even has a feature that allows me to track my outdoor walks. Which I have committed to going for a beach walk 5x per week, Monday to Friday for an hour! It's the perfect way for me to start the morning, out in nature, feeling accomplished from walking with my 20lb weighted vest, bare feet on the beach. If you are intrigued by the weighted vest, I do not recommend starting off with 20lbs if you are a newbie, but they do come in 6lbs, 8lbs, and 12lbs. @Lisa Farrell Hola..so glad you are here. GREAT comments so far. Not sure if this is helpful.. 3 boxes, 1 box for the donation store, ,1 box of I can give these to my kids and 1 box to keep. You can look at them and sort them. And start taking them out of your home the box to keep is like finding treasure or memories you might have to visit to bring healing. I like purging, it really does bring a sense of freedom.

Hello, I am here because I like staying fit, but not the hard road of exercise and discipline. I like to see my daughters thrive in their unique ways. I get to hang out with them here at Skool and in Nicaragua and Canada. How Great is that..I am the proud Mom of Corrie, Cinda, Josh, Jesse and the crew. I am learning tons of new ways..AMAZING.
