Building New Habits
Finally got around to reading Atomic Habits this week. Similar to "The Compound Effect", but provided some great insights and details into building new habits. Here's my favorite takeaway I got from the book: Start small. This could mean even just 1 or 2 minutes on a new habits. If you're trying to read before bed, for example, just start with doing 1 minute. If you're trying to learn a new language, just study for 1 minute a day. If you can do it for a minute, you'll get into the habit of it while it's easy, and it won't appear daunting. Eventually, you can build up to 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, then 20 minutes a day. Start small, start simple, and build from there.

The Compounding Effect of Habits
There's a book called "The Compound Effect" that I read recently, which emphasizes the importance of habits and consistency. In essence, creating a new, healthy habit won't make a huge change in your life within the first few days. You might not even notice anything after a few weeks. But months, and years later, you will notice a HUGE difference from just making small and simple adjustments in your life. Better yet, the difference will be so big that the people AROUND you will start to notice. As long as you're consistent, a small adjustment can lead to a huge result. Highly recommend the book to anyone who is looking for motivation to start new habits.

@Olufemi Williams Of course! Here's the one I'm most proud of - I practiced the piano nearly every day for 11 years and was eventually accepted into a competitive music program at my university for my abilities in classical piano performance.
Discipline or Consistency?
I frequently hear people say that it's most important for you to be 'disciplined' in order to improve and find success. But, in my mind, being disciplined really just means you're consistent. It means that you work when you don't want to -- that you repeat the same activity day in and day out. I wonder what your guys' thoughts are on this. Do you tell yourself to stay 'disciplined', or to stay 'consistent'? I think both can work, but in my opinion, it's easier to tell myself to stay consistent, since it's a more actionable word - it's easy to digest. I know exactly what I need to do to be consistent - do the same thing over and over again. How do you guys stay consistent?

@Olufemi Williams Ooo, this is a good point. If you focus on the wrong things, being consistent will only hurt you more. We'd have to emphasize the importance of working on the correct things first, so that we're not wasting time

@Kerry Tench So true. It's the best thing you can do for yourself - but that doesn't mean it's easy! And that's why most people don't do it unfortunately
How to go viral GUARANTEED
In the last 3 years, I got over 80 million views. After years of exhausting trial and error, I found the best video intros that make people watch your video till the end. I revealed my best performing hook intros here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DB9VTbQtzUz/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Daily Motivation - Think Long Term
It's easy to get tired, unmotivated, and overwhelmed by day to day work. Here's something that helps me to remember what's most important: - Remind yourself of your long term goals(if you don't have long term goals, make some!) - Think in terms of months and years, not days - broaden your perspective - Imagine yourself in 5 years, and think of how you want your life to be Remember, it's up to YOU to take action and change your life.
