Finally got around to reading Atomic Habits this week. Similar to "The Compound Effect", but provided some great insights and details into building new habits.
Here's my favorite takeaway I got from the book:
Start small.
This could mean even just 1 or 2 minutes on a new habits.
If you're trying to read before bed, for example, just start with doing 1 minute.
If you're trying to learn a new language, just study for 1 minute a day.
If you can do it for a minute, you'll get into the habit of it while it's easy, and it won't appear daunting. Eventually, you can build up to 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, then 20 minutes a day.
Start small, start simple, and build from there.
